I am so tired of my nails that just break and look short and boring so I´ll go and get some fake nails. I had really cool and nice long ones for the whole DPP tour but now I´ve just been home so didnt see any reason to have it. BUT I am so tired of nail paint that tears (is this the correct spelling???) after one day and I dont have time to sit and paint them every second evening so it´s better to go and get some fixed ones;=)
I think I´ll choose french manicure this time, it looks nice and fresh!

ReplyDeleteWe would normally say the polish chips away off your nails, and you are right it is so annoying.
After I had Ethan, my nails went so britle and I couldn't do anything with them. Now however they are strong again and I cab grow then long, however I need to keep them a shorter length or I can't use the iPhone with long nails hehe damn technology.
I have an exciting day planned today so this is a short message while I wake Ethan.

ReplyDeleteIf your problem about nails bother you so much,you should find out why are your nails so brittle. I had the same problem, then after chat with friend she told me that I have to listen to my body so I did and started to take zinc and calcium. For the first time I have nice long nails that are strong and even my hair are better now:O)
But anyway, nice idea to have fake nails and French manicure is really fresh and nobody will never notice that it is fake thing.

ReplyDeleteIf you want to do it for the rest of your life... do it. Fake nails will make your own nails only weaker and cos more problems in future. I had it once and... no thanks. Instead of fake nails i would suggest a gel-nails cos look more natural. BUT absolutely do not impose any fake nail if the nail plate(?) is in bad shape!
I would say take pills that will make your nails stronger and healthier with witamins, beta-caroten etc.

my mom tolds me that i put on some nails, short if i want, but i dont like the idea so much, cuz i'm going to break them xD, i told her '' i can't play keyboard with long nails!!!,

ReplyDeleteBecause about 2 months I have a placement at a travel agency, so I can not paint them as I usually do and my own nails arent the prettiest one, so I am thinking of taking fake nails too.

My nails tend to break once they are long, or just chip (which is annoying). I've only done fake nails once, and they were the cheap kind. I still really liked them, they worked out quite nicely.

yeah fake nails are much more "practical". . i hate those problems with nail poslish that doesn´t last and with natural nails breaking off all the time!

This post made me remember the time I was a huge fan of Spice Girls. Because of SG I started to use nail polish :D I saw them having nail polish too and I wanted to be like them :D I bought all kinds of nail things, some very unnecessary ones too... After all these years I still have left some of the things I bought and now they seem very, very unnecessary for me.

Once i had fake nails and i liked them but to remove them it hurts too much so i didn't do it anymore becuase with a contact lens i can have long nails. Yes, i think you've written correctly. Can you post your nails here after? I'm so curious to see them.

I am sorry to hear that you and Nemo have come down with a cold, but I glad to hear that you both seem to be falling better now and that you’ve recovered enough from your broken rip to spend so much time outside today. There is nothing like sunshine and fresh air. Oh, and yes, ‘tear’ is the correct spelling :). The nails you chose look beautiful, but I am sorry to hear that your own are so tired. I am afraid I cannot give you any advice on breaking a nail biting habit, because I only did it when I was very small child and I think I just broke it by catching myself when I did it until I got out of the habit. But I would imagine the reason your nails break is because the nail polish is really so hard on them, so if I at some point you are able to grow out your own, I would recommend giving them a break from the nail polish for at least two weeks out of every month. I adore wearing nail polish, but I always grow out my nails really long and keep them filed into a smooth round shape, so these days I really only put on nail polish when I’m going out and then I take it off when I get back home.
Anyway, I suppose you need to do whatever works for you, the nails you chose look lovely :).

I had the same problem, Anette. My hole life I had very frail and short nails... But I started using some nail care fluid (like a nail polish, but transparent) tha really helped me. It's called in portuguese "casco de cavalo" (or "horse's hull"), and it really worked! 2 ~ 3 months later my nails where huge (something like 3cm) and strong! It really changed my life, because I always loved long nails, and I was jealous that some people had breathtaking nails, and mine were... Meh.
ReplyDeleteBut now I have long nails and I take really good care of them! Of course I can't have extreme long nails because of my college (Fashion Design), since I draw and write a lote. And I have to sew, so extreme long nails are a bit annoying.
But take note of it. Try to use some nail hardener, it helped my nails, migh help yours too.
Oh, and hair products help the nails to grow weaker. So carefull with it ;)

I know, right, nail polish chips every day. The fake ones here are really bad quality and break even more than real nails, lol.
