Ok, this is what we have decided to do about ev. private personal comments that I want to answer:
I wont answer every personal comment, that is impossible for me and I do need to limit myself. But those I feel I really need or want to answer I will answer via email that you will get through my management. Since the people there have lots of other things to do, it can take some time for the answers.
What I answer and why, is all up to me and I hope you can respect and understand this. Having an email here wont do, since I am sorry to say, there would be to much haters and others I dont wanna bother with;=)

ReplyDeleteI think this the perfect solution. I was getting a little worried when I read you were thinking about answerring private mails or comments because this would totally get out of hand and lead a life of its own, just like with the PMs from the forum.
You would hardly have time to write your blog, we don't want that =)
And just like you said, if you really want to answer someone privately you can do so through your management.

ReplyDeleteYesterday I saw a very good movie, including is made by a Brazilian, is called Ice Age 3, if you like animation movies I recommend this movie.
Very good that his initiative to respond to personal comments from fans. This shows that you really care about us. Though I will not care that my comments are published here, some people only want to tell you (which is perfectly normal human being to have privacy) and is very good to know that you are willing responds to some of these comments, because it would answer all imposssivel because they are many.

Hello. I need to ask not Anette but her followers in here ( but i would be happy if Anette will answer). But no need to bother her just tell me one thing please: I have lots of private messages in my mind and you all talk about sending private mails and messages. But i can't find how to do it. I mean i used to write a usual comments in here and i also tried to write an email (since the button is there,down to every message posted in the blog_)it's a little envelope. And after clicking this i still cannot write a message since it needs the adress. Here comes Anette's adress. But I also read she cannot give us her adress since it's a private one,so how do you all write your private comments? Need your help and sorry for bothering.

And oh yes, there are lots of stupid people on the Earth who could use your e-mail to abuse. I really can't understand why there have to be someones like that but that's why I understand your smart decision to be without publishing your e-mail.

Oh, please don't feel pressure to answer _any_ private comments -- I hope the fact I sent my rant signed with my real name and email didn't feel to you like "damn, now I _have_ to answer that person" -- no, it was more like that I wanted to sound like a real person, not just some faceless internet entity hiding behind a nick ;) (I wasn't actually sure how you can answer comments in this blogger -- some blog service providers do have options of private answers as well but obviously this one does not)

Heh, I get these dubious emails/phone calls from weird people all the time too; wanting my opinion of whatever things and I have to be really careful what to answer and to whom -- I'm not too interested to find something I've said on some website or paper or discussion forum, my original statement twisted and turned and taken out of context... (has happened and boy, didn't I get some "feedback" again... O__O) Journalists are another story altogether too -- if they're not very familiar with our field what ends up printed on a paper can be totally wrong and misleading and woo-hoo -- time for "explanations" again! :p So, I totally understand how a person in your position _have_ to be extra-careful!

You have fans who also have a busy life, and even then not all understand that you are not obliged to respond to all of us being unfair feel bad because you do not respond ...

You are a human being who needs to take care of herself by eating, resting, taking a shower, doing sports, etc. You are a mother, you are a partner, you are a friend, you are a housewife and you are a very good singer who seems to get better every day. All that and probably more I can not come up with at the moment, must fill up pretty much all the hours a day / week / month / year has. Yet you are this nice woman who often takes some time to sit down to post weblogs and read and answer comments of your fans. People who are, as much as we would like to believe otherwise, complete strangers to you. At least most of your fans are, I think. You have your own (busy) life and you do not get paid to do this, so we all should be grateful that you are doing this for us. It is very kind of you! :-)
Even if you would like to answer all of our comments, it is impossible for you to do so and we understand that. I have my busy periods in which I hardly have time for myself and in those periods I receive e-mails from for example classmates who need something from me or would like me to help them out and unfortunately for those people, I can not always respond to them immediately. Some understand, some do not and those who do not and also decide to become rude, I will not answer anymore at all. ;-)
And like what Eva wrote (37st comment), hopefully you can cope with all the things people are likely going to come to you with. If one day it is becoming too much for you, just stop doing this. You should not ever feel compelled to do this for us, because you are not. You are only human and doing the best you can. Somewhere I read or heard Tuomas say something like: "You can get an easy laugh and an easy cry out of her." To me that sounds like you are an emotional person, so just keep thinking about yourself as well. :-)
