...has been filled with going to the gym, taking a walk in the city and the stores, shopping food, cooking, sitting by the piano composing and now I am having a movie night;=) First I am watching "A shopoholics confession"..hihi...and then later it will be "The girl with the dragon tattoo". I think it is a good mix...first comedy and then, a thriller....can a friday evening be better???

ReplyDeleteAnd about today song, maybe someone already told you but 'You' isn't an Evanescence song. It's a very very private song to Amy and 'supposedly' (and even when it's on you tube) it can't be distribute it or downloaded from the web or anywhere else. Just to prevent you for any kind of copyright issue you can have, that are always not nice to deal with.
Anyway, I think such a beautiful song shouldn't be forbidden.

of course the singer of a band has the right to do another thing apart from his band! You are not the only singer who do that, there are other singers like Live Kristine and even Tarja when she was in Nightwish had a solo career, not an album, so there is no problem! =)
I've read that someone has written about the relation between Tarja's solo career and the problems with her. Maybe some people can think a solo album wouldnt be a good idea just because of that but it is not the same since Tarja had Nightwish on one side and a totally dofferent solo career on the other side.

ReplyDeleteyou know, it is really good you to post a song by Evanescence. Most of fans are really stupid with this 'I love Nightwish, I have to hate Evanescence'. Every single time I read your blog I became more proud of you. I really like you, I mean, you're so sweet as a person, you're adorable! I like this Anette so much more than I'd like you if you were just a great singer. You're human, you're kind, I really like this. But then, about Evanescence, 'You' is an amazing song! God, I really love it. I used to listen it to fall asleep, it used to be so peaceful to sleep listening amy <3 she's by favorite singer. i love her. Lithium is nice too, the videoclipe is so beautiful :) (oh, i'm telling you, you make me proud. change the song because amy doesn't wanted it to be published was so sensible.)

What piano's model do you have? Mine is Roland Juno-G :) Not really expensive but so good. I've heard Within Temptation always use Rolands. Didn't know you can play piano. I do this since i was a kid, like in the age of 4-5 years,cause my dad is a musician.

It would be really awesome if you and Amy did a duet. I mean since you are in the process of writing for your album and Amy and the rest of Evanescence are writing for their next album, I think a duet is very plausible. It would really satisfy a lot of Evanescence-Nightwish fans.
ReplyDeleteAs for the song "You," it is a personal song written by Amy when she was young but someone got hold of the song and released it without permission from Amy. You can still listen to it (secretly :p like many Evanescence fans).
"Lithium" is a great song too, though not my favorite ballads from theirs (Before the Dawn takes the crown, very beautiful song).
Can't wait to hear your solo. Your did a fantastic job with Nightwish. Goodluck :D.
