Bought some new fresh flowers today too, as I have said before I love new and lovely flowers in my home. This time I skipped the roses since I wanted something new and I ended up with some Hortensias in the living room with new vases in cool colours. In the bath room some pimpernells in two colours and then the bed room white flowers which I forgot to ask what they were called,=(
On the table in the living room I put a decorated plate with roses that I found lovely;=)
Had very nice dinner company here tonight and the evening passed very fast like it does when you have nice and entertaining company,=) We ate good thai wok and then a big cake with strawberries and pineapple on the top. Yummie!

I don't know if you already know this tip, but here it goes: adding two teaspoon of chlorine (per liter of water) into the water where are the flowers indirectly prolongs their life. The solution prevents the development of bacteria and the flowers stay fresh for an extended period of time.
And aways cut the stems extremity of the flowers when the water is changed. I think you know this one, everybody may know :D

Those flowers are beautiful-
I love the vases- especially the first one
and I like the figures/statues beside it.
And the roses look very lovely
on the plate- very nice arrangement.
Once they start to die,
you should dry them out and put them on
a plate as a permenant decoration. I think
I've mentioned that before though, sorry!

watermelon and some soymilk yogurt!
It was delicious!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you were busy like a bee today! Good for You! ^_^ I think being active and doing things You like, even simple ones, like cleaning or painting a wall, is so important and helps dealing with everyday stress.
The flowers are really lovely! We have bunch of plants at home but I prefer flowers. Will go hunt for a bouqet of lilies of the valley tomorrow :D
I went food shopping with mom today. Haha! We're two arses <3 Always spend too much time on buying food but it was nice to do such shopping. I like shopping with mom because I can always convince her to spend on herself a little but (because she never does) and ends up with something he really likes XD Today was a good day indeed ^_^
