Just back from our last festival gig on this looooong tour we have done.
It has been a super nice evening and the audience was super duper! Vielen dank!!!
The day was a long travel day as usual and I was so tired that I fell asleep immediately when I arrived to the hotel and slept for 2 hours. Then woke up at 20.30 and fixed my make-up and got dressed. Went to the gig just before as usual and then i just plugged in my in-ears and we hugged and made the ritual as we always do before a show.
We all were in a happy and shiny mood and I felt that it was a relaxed gig for us all;=)
We only had one technical problem after some songs, the cable between the PA on stage and down to the front of house guy broke so we couldnt play for a while and then had to cut one song....very disappointing that something like that happens but luckily it was fixable and we could go on with 3 more songs;=)
So this was the very last festival gig for us for DPP tour and I know we all are so grateful and blessed for all the festivals we have played these 2 summers and we have some incredible gigs to remember until next festival gigs in the next tour;=)
My outfit today was skirt and jacket from Gucci, body from Monki and shoes from Rizzo.

Not that many concerts to go, then it is the end of the DPP tour. It seems so long ago that you guys came out to Australia as a part of this tour, and you are still going with the same world tour.

Hi, Anette, I bet that this several gig's are killing you, right? I'd find it kind of exhausting if I was you! As I could realize there was a massive tour to promote DPP album and it's great, I apreciate that you have no problems playing in giant stages and in small and poor stages as well, it means that you all are really able to enjoy a time with your fans no matter what. I'd rather to see you all in a festival here in Rio de Janeiro, but it's kind of hard. There will be another Rock in Rio here in Rio(I bet you know Rock in Rio) and would be great to see you all playing in it.
ReplyDeleteDPP is the best nightiwsh album beside Oceanborn and, you were the best choice to the band, I love tarja, actually, I do, but I'm quite able to accept a departure in a band, my favorite band's(Guns N' Roses and Angra) had great departures and I was able to accept it(Actually in the Angra issue was another thing that made me feel happy, The old Angra turned into two new bands, the new Angra and the Shaman, instead of one single great band, now I have two great bands, and in Nightwish too)... You came and gave a new strength to Nightwish and it was so perfect, I go wild and crazy everytime I hear your voice in that part that says: "Light the fire feast, chase the ghost give in".
And you're quite beaultifull, but I prefer you dressed in that black hair! hahaha

I just got back from a wedding reception/party/karoke thingy.... ALMOST got up and did Bye Bye Beautiful unaccompanied, but was too shy.
Anyways, I'm glad that you had the final festival date and i'm sorry that there was an issue with the PA (those things happen on occasion)

It's the last festival of this tour - seems a bit sad... but the next gigs are special I think - Savonlinna (waiting with impatience), MOSCOW - finally, yeah!!! And I have a lucky chance to go there ;))) And the greatest - Hartwall!!!
And fans still remember about the festival where you will sing two songs of Nightwish ;) Crazy to know, which ones it would be, but we will know it very soon!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad the concert went great yesterday, despite the small technical issues. But don't worry, the ones who attend a concert always remember the awesome moments of it, not the small problems that might occur during the schedule! :)
Next performance for you, I think is Suomi Safari! Can't believe the time has flown away so fast, I remember like it was 2 days ago when you told us about this project. Hope it all goes well then, and the activity turns out great.
Now, only about one month left to the mega-gig at Hartwall Areena, and after that you and the guys can relax and have plenty of rest and time for holidays.
The shoes from M'era Luna look awesome, both for stage-wearing and for a nice casual day out in town. You look so good, once again. :)

DDP tour really was a tour unforgettable. Unfortunately I not go to concert that you have done here in Brazil but the next tour I will not lose. Unfortunately problems occur but the important thing is that you have make the best show possible, as always:)

Anette, I would like to know something. The songs you will sing in "Suomi Safari" will be transmitted by a broadcaster of TV? The festival is broadcast by a television station?
ReplyDeleteI think that suit really goes well with the shoes. The suit is a neutral color (black) and the shoes add some flair and style to the overall look.

I live in Columbus, Ohio and it is somewhat, "conservative" here, meaning that a lot of people listen to American Country and other kinds of domestic tours. I am trying to spread the word about Nightwish every chance I can!
