Long busy day yesterday;=)

Sorry for my absence yesterday but it was a busy busy day filled with things to do..

Took my son to school, then to the gym for 1,5 hour. Ate lunch, picked up my son and went to an ear specialist with him since he has problems hearing with the left ear. Went well, he had lots and lots of wax that the doctor needed to vacuum out. Then ear drops for one week and next week back to do the hearing test.

In the afternoon we went to IKEA to get lots of little things like curtains, curtain holders, candles etc. And also looked at some clothes cupboards, commode and shoes shells to put all my stage clothes in. Will order them and get them delivered since it will be quite some things to get home.
The big closet looks like this

And the drawer look like this

The curtains to the living room look like this and are velvet:

The day before we picked up a new fuchsia coloured carpet to the living room and it made such a big difference to get some colour in there=) It feels so much warmer and cosier now and I love it!

  1. Me too, I love doing shopping in IKEA. The best shop everywhere (although I'm not from Sweden. IKEAs are everywhere.:) ). If you want to, you could upload some photos "live" from your living room etc.

Hopefully your son's hearing is ok and the wax was ALL that was wrong :)

I wish i had room in my bedroom for a chest of drawers, but i don't... too small :(

    Have a lovely day,

  5. Hi Anette

I hope your son's ear will be okay. =) A doctor once vacuumed my ear too and it felt... very weird. But it did help.

How many stage clothes do you have? I'm sure lots.
I have in my living room this kind of fuchsia coloured candle-holder-thingy and it really cheers up the whole room.

  6. The HEMNES clothing cabinet with the drawers is great, I nearly bought it myself (in white) but decided last minute against it and bought another from IKEA. I really love the curtains, I have never seen them at the IKEA here, but I guess since IKEA is Swedish you guys have much more stuff over there. =)

Glad to hear that there was nothing serious with your son's ear going on as well.

And I bet the cats love the carpet as well, don't they?

  10. I like how You combine colors, Anette. Everything seems to be in perfect harmony and style. You do know Your fashion style skills, don't You? ;) Very nice color and design for the bedroom. Simple and functional and lovely!

Glad to hear that Your son's visit went well. My cousin had exactly the same thing a few months ago. It's incredible what bunch of ear wax can do to the hearing! Anyway, good thing it turned out to be something totally umharmful!

    Enjoy Your day Anette!

    Hugs,
    Karo E.

  14. Well I hope your son's ear gets better.
    I had that done once,
and it helped but it wasn't my hearing
    I had a problem with,
    I actually have excellent hearing.
Which can be a pain when I
    hear people talking about me...

Ikea has some pretty cool things I think,
    I love those big closets.

    I like those curtains and
I can only imagine how cool it must
all look, but I'm glad you're
    happy with the result.

Well off to school for me too!!!

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  15. IKEA has Swedish origins, doesn't it? I love the stuff and furniture they sell because it makes a place warm and look like a real home. Precisely I'm going on thursday to one of their warehouses to buy a pair of 2 chairs for desks and a book shelf. Are you planning on buying some more stuff? :)

Stor kram!
