Inspirational people...

Let me tell you about a man that goes to my gym and works out. He has no legs and no arms, only fake ones. Still he and his assistant goes to the gym and he walks fast on the tread mill, work out in the gym section in the machines... He looks so happy and are a truly inspirational person to me. Today he stood next to me and we talked a bit and he just glows positivism... Wow!

I once worked for many years at an office here in town and a girl was working with me. There I sat sometimes, complaining about headache, my period and you name it...I was around 21 years old and she was the same age.
One day she says: hey, since we work so closely I feel I want to ask you to help me with something. I say yes and she continues: You know, I have a serious heart condition and only have 25 % heart capacity so IF something would happen, I have these medicines in my purse...
I just stare at her...this girl walked around in the stairs, around the hallways etc....and NEVER ever complained or said anything about feeling ill...Never! And there I was, so healthy and just complaining about those "little" things... I felt so stupid;=)

Of course everyone has their own problems and bad days and of course its ok to complain sometimes but some people are for me, so brave and so strong and I must say that I look up to them;=)

  2. I know, Anette. It really makes you think doesn't it? I'm always complaining about stuff because I'm not happy with my life, but then I hear about others with worse problems than me, and usually these people don't complain and are so strong and brave. I too admire such people.

  3. It definatly puts life into perspective. I have a wheelchair bound friend who is the same positive person as you have met, and I'll complain about my pregnancy to her and she'll just smile unable to have children herself so I feel terrible, but as you said we all complain sometimes and these people are there for us to look up to.

Makes you really appreciate life and just how precious and amazing it is.

You take care Anette, safe travels tomorrow.

  5. I agree with you Anette. Sometimos we complain about so small things and then when we see tose people we feel bad. I’ve sometimes thought that if I had some of those illnesses that you have to live always with them I would fall into a depression. I think I wouldn’t be strong enough :S Maybe we are not like them but we are brave and string for other things and maybe this is one of the things that makes everybody a special person =)
I think you are so brave for being able to face the big change you’ve lived since 2007. In only one day thousands of people knew you and you’ve been able to stay in a stage with a lot of people from the beginning and you have been so nice and natural with everybody. That must be scaring, not everybody can do that. And that’s why you’re so special for me and for much more fans =)

  7. Hello again Anette =)

I agree with you. I complain all the time about little things that happen to me...
But it exists more serious problems.

It's always people who have the most serious problems who nerver complain and are always smiling. These persons are so strong. I have a huge admiration for them.

    Much of love,
    Hugs.

  8. Those people are very brave and strong. Many people have problems.
It's great if they are thinking positive and being brave and strong
Many people I know have problems and they think on bad things and they do not want to talk about thier problems , even if I try to help them.
I had a surgery and I knew that nothing bad would happen =)
    It all went great.
And I hope that they will always be like that , strong and brave.

    Have a great day/night
    Love

  9. Wow... major props for the person that works out at your gym, that takes some major spirit.

My dad is a constant inspiration for me. He's got a few major issues, like COPD and emphysema, he also has high-blood pressure and a severely messed-up back, yet he still busts his butt working every single day.

    hugs, and love,

  10. I know what you mean, anette!!

I took violin lessons for three years in this music school in curitiba (BR). And for all that time, there was this guy who had down's syndrome and he used to take singing lessons.
He was not the best singer in the school for sure, but he was so determinated and he tried so hard to make the best of him.

I was really afraid to be on stage with people looking at me, I used to complain about playing harder songs when there was not enough time to practice... And for three years I NEVER heard him say anything.

And he was also very very smart. He know a lot about music's history, brazilian musica, the beatles. I learned a lot from him.

Saddly enough, when there was school concerts I used to hear people saying bad stuff about him, laughing because he had some motors disabilities and I used to get so pissed off about it.

We took a class together that my teacher used to give. The purpose of it was to get rid of the fear of being on stage. I used to complain a lot because I am too shy, I didn't want to do the exercises and all and he always did it without complaining. and he was so much better then be at it and I often felt really proud of him when I watched him perfom.

I left school and I don't know if he's there yet, but I hope he is. He didn't sang great, but he sang with passion and effort and it was really satisfying to see him on stage.

hugs to you and to little nightstar!

  11. I know how you feel, I have a brother whos got Autism and ADHD, and my mothers ill with bipolar. But I have friends who have parents who are dieing, and I feel so bad for them, it makes me feel happy for the life I have.

But at the same time when you understand what they go through, it helps them. I remember at a themepark, this little boy was really un-easy and figety, his poor mother looked exhausted. She saw me stareing and told me he had a problem that was very simuler to my brothers. I told her my brother was the same, and she was pretty shocked, but she smiled and I understood how she felt, and I comforted her. It's nice to help people who go through simuler things, and when they have to go through hard things everyday, you can't help but to look up to them.

You have every right to have a good moan about things such as periods though, every girl does that, we have every right too. XD

  12. Hey Anette

What you wrote abou this man is almost breath taking. God! Incredible. My deepest respect. Also this girl you wrote about, its amazing how those people handle their life´s. O.O

Let me tell you about a person i look up to and respect deeply:
She´s a wonderful woman, has 3 kids lives alone with the girls, has NO SUPPORT from the father NO! his opinon is completle odd to me. he thinks its her duty to raise the girls. he also dont wanna pay a single cent for the kiddies! And she stands alone with 3 kids, works like me as a postman (postwoman ;)) half a day. and the second half of the day she works in various other jobs to earn enough money for the kids, she never complains about anything. a few months ago she had a pretty hard surgery to overcome, and she did it! I went to the hospital right after the surgery (cause i was worryed about her) she was so beaten up. it took a few weeks and she was back on track. she was so strong. like i said she never complains about anything, but sometimes she gets really depressed, thats no problem cause its my duty to lift her up. and believe me there is nothing better in life when she smiles again and starts to fight me. I know many people have to fight the same problems (like her), it was not in my mind to hurt anybody. Many Girls live their lifes alone with the kids. But i can only talk about her, she is may example for a person i look up to. I really really look up to her, its amazing how she fights her way through life.

I must admit, Yes i love her, like i never loved before. she´s so lovely, beautiful just a wonder. i cannot grasp the fact that a wonderful girl like her is pulled down by everybody. liek i said, she never complains, but she has this look in her eyes when something is going on. and i cant see her going down. i wanna be there for her every second she´s down, and of course i wanna be there when shes happy. cause everytime we have some time togehter, its so wonderful so funny sooooo...cant find any more words. She´s a living wonder. Thats about it.

Sorry for bore you off with my monolouge.

    Anette.
    Thank you for your words.
every word you wrote is so true

    Have a wonderful evening
A biiiiig biiiiig hug to you
    Love and Respect
    your´s Chris

Once again. Sorry for writing so much, it was not in my mind to get on your nerves.
i just wanted to tell you about a person i look up to :)

  13. Hi, Anette!!!!
Here's something I wanna say about your post and if you can leave it personal it will be great ;)
I cried when I read you post. My father had cancer. I didn't knew it until he died. The last few times i saw him - in the hospital, lying...dying...he couldn't breathe.Tears were streaming down my face even if I didn't knew what would happen. We always have had a special thing between us, so I guess I just felt it..... The last time I saw hime, little before we(me and my 2 brothers left the room) my mom told him-' Do you wish that our kids want to see you like that?'.My dad was like - 'Nooo!!'.So mom told-'Then I'll go and buy you some yoghurt and you'll eat it!'... really strange to see your own father going from 110 kgs to 60-65 ks... All I knew was he wanted me to continue my study and I didn't....only now I will but I feel like I betrayed him.
Sorry,Anette, I wanted to share that, I have never ever shared that. You just seem like such a deep and down to earth, honest person! Love the ones beside you!
    Sending you my best wishes!

  14. I know what you mean! I had this old man at my gym, probably 90 years old, and he came there every day and exercised -- very carefully, with just small weights, walking very slowly and fragile-looking around the gym but damn, I think he was way more "manly" than all those young hunks with their bulging, steroid-doped muscles, solarium-grilled skins and cocky smiles... O__O

What can I say -- it's all in the attitude!

(Same goes for "beauty" -- you don't need to have a face and body of a supermodel if you have strong self-esteem and carry yourself with pride. I remember this rap artist called Missy Elliot (even if I don't really like rap :p) -- she was a plump girl with "attitude" but then she lost weight and became just like every other woman in that scene and I was kinda disappointed...)

And, _you_'re doing great job, showing great example by keeping your own style and following your own path ;) (Nice pics from the States, btw -- damn, now me wants to see a NW club gig again... ;))

  15. I understand.. I'm 22 years old now.. but a year ago I worked with disabled people of the same age of me, or younger.. and I had the same feeling as you describe here. I was complaining about a small thing, and I never heard them complaining. They even made jokes about themselves. I really learned a lot there.
They where so optimistic. I'm young, I know, but my life wasn't easy, and there was a time that I was very depressed. But my work there had open my eyes. That's one of the reasons why I went to Norway last year, to get my head empty. and what is the best place to do that, between beautifull nature and people?

Í worked with them for a year, now I've an other job, but I'll never forget my time there and everything about them. It's a little funny though.. it seems tha people who haven't it all, who are not so healthy, are having more fun in life then the people who've it all.
As I said, my life wasn't easy, but I get more out of life then someone who I know and has everything. She'd a great life so far, is rich etc.

And I totally agree, people who're so brave and strong, I look up to them :)

Well, is a long comment.. but I'm gonna stop now.. I can write more, but I won't, don't worry ;)

    Have a great evening!

    Hugs,
    Danielle

  16. Thank you for sharing your insights :)
Well, complain is healthy, but the important thing is to be positive and thankful, looking for the good. When we complain, we shouldn't look for the negative. So, we won't give power to our negative thoughts and the world won't seems a darker place.
There are so many things I would like to do to help the others, but I can't do even for myself. And then, I feel more miserable than anybody.
These people are really inspirational, they really should be bless.

Have a great evening! Lots of positive thoughts headed your way,

  17. Hey Anette,

I can understand that those people inspire you. I have met some of them too and read about some of this kind, although these stories are not directly/only related to sports or health.

Last year during law studies there was this girl in my class who had had cancer as a child, so she ended up in a lower level of secondary school than her capacities allowed because she had missed so much when she'd been ill. After sec. school she did vocational school, then a year in college (if you pass that you can go to university here) and she ended up in uni where she did great from what I've seen.

I quit the law studies but now in the Maths Deficiency class of paedagogy I met another girl who had gone the same route from vocational school, through first year in college to uni. She is 27 now. Those people are real fighters. They know they're worth so much more than where fate initially places them.

Also reading a story about Chinese high school pupils studying 18 (!) hours per day for their final exams inspires me and makes me realise how little I had to do for Grammar School (highest form of secondary education in the Netherlands) in order to get sufficient marks and how much harder I could've worked and how much better my marks could've been.

I nearly feel guilty sometimes how well I can do with doing nothing and how hard others have to work and still not get sufficient marks, really. It makes me feel like I should get over my laziness and kick my butt to do something.

Anette, I have a lot of respect for you as well whenever you're ill while having to perform. I know from experience how hard it is, and I hear it in your voice sometimes, but you still give your very best at a moment that it's physically not possible to, but you do it anyway.

However, let this wonderful type of people, who fight for what they want to reach, or who give their best every day in order to do their work properly, or who endanger their own lives in order to save others' - I think about firemen or soldiers in army for example -, inspire all of us and let them be sort of a guide in our daily lives. They deserve lots of praise, but are often underrated which is a shame.

    Hugs,
    Juliëtte

  18. Hello Anette :)

My name is Kate, I'm from Poland. Your post about those inspirational people gave me so much faith, that one human can handle big pain and fear. About a man from gym... It's great that, despite the fact that he had no legs and no arms, he can take the happiness from life.

I have a brother. His name is Peter. He is 24 years old and he can't live without help from other people. He can't talk, can't see and he can't move without help. He had cerebral palsy since he was born. We're sure, that he can hear us, but he can't say anything. He neither can't show us, what he need. We have to guess: is he hungry? or maybe we have to change his nappy? The worst thing is that he had epilepsy and he need to take his medicines 3 times a day. It's really hard for me. I'm only 21 years old and I can't live my own life, because I'm thinking of Peter. I'm studying Finnish philology at Warsaw University. I'm starting second year. From September I'll live alone, in my own house, without my paents and my brother. I have to start think about myself. But I love Peter so much and I can't imagine my life without him.

I wrote this not to complain about my life. I wrote this, because I just want you to know, that I admire people like these man from gym and these girl, which was working with you. They are really strong and brave.

Please, don't publish this comment. It is really delicate subject for me.

    Kisses and hugs,

    Kate

P.S. I'm really sorry for my poor English ;)

and i hope a lot of people think the same:D
    kiss

    and have a nice daaay!:D

  20. Wow, that truly is amazing. It's always a bit weird to complain about minor things while the other one has major problems.
But what can we do? Unfortunately everyone has problems. Someone has little and someone has big. Still, they are equally important and worth of talking about. That girl to whom you "complained" about that normal stuff, she might have forgotten her serious problem while listening to you. =)

I have an aunt who is about 60 years old, and even though someone would say that she's old, she goes jogging two times a day and when I go jogging with her, she goes so much faster than I do. =D Then I always remember that I have to do sports to keep on shape.

I must say that one of the people I look up to is you. You said that you admire some people that are strong and brave, well those are the reasons why I look up to you. It takes very much courage to go to the vocalist of Finland's best band ever. If I would be you, I would have chickened out before the first gig. =D (Well, I'm not exactly equal comparison to you since I can't sing, I'm shy and I hate performing in front of an audience. =D)

  21. These people are the real positive people and as you said, a great inspiration for other people. When I hear about them I always feel the same, how awesome they and how strong and I feel myself so weak and kind of damned, because I know how bad days do I have these months and I hardly ever see the sun behind the black clouds.
even I try my best to see..
I would be really happy if sometimes our teachers in the school would invite some of them to talk with and such things. That would be great I think. : ]
good for you you could meet some of them!
    many hugs,
    susan

  22. Wow, that's what I was posting a
comment about the other day to you on here.
    The girl with cancer,
    she never complained about anything
and she was such a happy and positive person
and still is. Even with all
this going on around her and I know it
has got to be stressful for her...

But if I can I would like you ask you again,
how do I deal with this?
I know all she wants is to be
treated normally, but I know I want to
be there for her, but what
if she's not looking for sympathy?
I just don't know what I should do.

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  23. Hei Anette
I agree. I want to be carefully with complaining about stuff. Because there are so many people that have to face so much worse. It's OK to complain once, twice.. But don't forget to care about the people next to you.
    Thx for giving your thoughts.
    Daphne

  24. I agree with you Anette =). We are always complaining about something and we don't think that there are people out there facing so much worse and they keep smiling =).

    Have a nice evening.

    Hugs & Kisses

  25. That kind of people are truly the ones that show you what bravery, strength and patience really mean. And I think the reason why they never complain is the fact they already suffered so much, that they know complaining and reminding the others about their condition, illness or pain doesn't do any good. It doesn't relieve their suffering, it doesn't take the danger away and it makes the ones around them feel miserable and sad as well. So their capacity of just keeping it to themselves and looking to the future with positivism and hope is huge and something to truly appreciate.
My mom is somehow like that. Fortunately, she never had to deal with an extremely grave health issue or state and hopefully she never ever will, but each time the ones around her felt bad about anything, she was the one to comfort them and give them strength, even if the problem was causing her just as much trouble. There is really a lot to be learnt from these altruistic people who think of others instead of themselves. I personally think sacrificing oneself or constantly putting the others' needs in front of your own ones is one of the hardest things to do, and it's very rare nowadays. That's why it makes it so special and touching.
I kind of deviated from the subject, I apologize for that.
And thank you for sharing your wonderful thoughts, observations and revelations. They truly make one feel humble and blessed. :)

  26. Dear Anette,

wow all these people are teaching us a lesson .......... to be healthy is the most important thing in the world, because if you are healthy you can do anything you want!
And I also think that we can truly appreciate our health only if we see people around us who are working so hard to be a "normal" person and never give up in spite of all those terrible health problems they have.
And they don't complain and are so happy and satisfied with things like going for a walk or being able to have a job!

We should always remeber these things before complaining about the most insignificant little things !
Thanks for writing about this cause it made me reflect on lots of things I should be thankful for!

Have a great evening and a pleasant trip to Stockholm tomorrow!

    Love,
    Herta

  27. Hello, Anette
I think I can understand your feelings and thoughts about inspirational people... last summer I saw a young pair, they were about 18 or 20 years. This nice couple was crossing the road and everything was all right but the boy didn`t have legs, he was in a wheelchair... His girl was going beside him, they were chattering and laughing, and the boy had his arm around her hips:) They were so beautiful and positive! I saw them disappeared in the verdure of the park and fortunately my sun glasses were on me, so no one could see my tears of deep emotion:)I hope they are still happy together.
And when something in my life is wrong I often remember this lovely pair and feel better:)
Thank you for good food for thought;-)

  29. I can easily say that I appreciate what you're saying, but I can't say that I fully understand it. Let me start from the beginning, and I apologize if this is long.

I'm seventeen years old and I have Fibromyalgia, and have had it since I was between the ages of nine and ten. Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition, of which causes me to be in varying amounts of pain in every major part of my body on a daily basis, and there is no known cure. Most of the medication doctors will give you doesn't even work, because none of them know the exact physiological cause of the pain. My neck, shoulders, back and legs are the worst spots, and not a day goes by where they don't hurt. Some days, the pain is bearable, depending on the quality of sleep I got the night before and how I've used that particular part of my body in the last few days. Many days, it's a struggle to keep my head up and fight, not only because of the pain, exhaustion and other physical complications, but because I know that it's entirely possible (and very likely) that I'll be in this pain for the rest of my life. I know people who've had Fibromyalgia for upwards of twenty years. It's not very a comforting thought, but it's a very real possibility.

The part that I don't understand is how they can be so impressed by what we have to do on a daily basis just to survive. The only alternatives we have are to wallow in our own misery 24/7 or to die. I'm not particularly fond of living in misery, and I woke up this morning and somehow didn't want to die. You either learn to live with it, or you betray yourself and let the monsters devour you. I don't understand how it's so difficult for some to understand that we're not doing anything special, different or particularly strong; We just want to get whatever enjoyment we can out of life, so we don't let the darkness and pain win. We're working with the cards we've been dealt, not because we want to win the game, but because we have no other choice.

Maybe I'm just looking at this the wrong way. It wouldn't be the first time. I don't know. Maybe there is some strength in choosing not to jump off of a skyscraper, and instead giving yourself the opportunity to live a decent enough life despite your struggles, but that's not how it feels. I mean, it means a hell of a lot that there are people out there who aren't going to kick you when you're down, but the things you do to simply live a life where you don't hate yourself for something you've got no control over aren't different from the things that everyone else does on a daily basis.

Say some guy tells you you're fat, stupid, ugly, can't sing, or whatever. Do you let him bring you down, or do you get on with your life and treat yourself to something you really like to make yourself feel better? What he said did hurt you, and it should hurt (you're not going to learn anything from it if it doesn't), but that doesn't mean he was right or that you should give up and lock yourself in your house and refuse to come out. No, you accept that there are people out there that are going to hurt you in any way that they can (and for absolutely no good reason - that their poisonous tongues can teach you not to believe or give into them is a happy accident), and you keep moving and doing what you can. You know you're not fat, stupid, ugly, and that you can sing, and that you have people around you who love you despite whatever flaws you may have. So, his words have no credibility. It's the same thing, really. You know that you're better than what you're facing, so you push yourself to overcome whatever stands in your way, even if you're the roadblock.

How people can give in and cause themselves so much more misery, unnecessarily, also makes no sense to me. Why lay down and give up when you can fight? You can say you don't have the energy to stand up, but there's always something that can give you the will to keep fighting. Always. You just have to find it.

    (Continued below)

  30. (Continued from above)

Soo... enough of my rambling... Except for this last little bit, because I really want to say it and I'll probably feel weird if I don't. On the second and third legs of the North American tour, I saw you with the boys twice. Once in Orangevale and once at The Fillmore in San Francisco, and you all kicked some serious ass! Those two shows, those two nights I spent covered in sweat that wasn't mine, with friends I never knew I had (the audience), singing along to songs someone else had written, songs that I love so deeply that every day help to make my life worth living, seeing and hearing and feeling the five of you doing what you love to do has had such an impact on me. I suppose they helped me to find something to live for. Art, music, beauty, passion; You fed that last little spark and helped to turn it into this bright flame that keeps me relatively sane and happy. If I thought I could properly thank you, I would, but the only way to really do that is by doing the same for someone else. Art touches, art heals, art saves. I will say thank you, though, because how else will you know that I'm greatful? So, thank you, Anette. Had you never joined Nightwish, this may have never happened.

    ...I'll stop rambling now.

    Sam

  31. As I'm used to say: Never complain if it can't change anything and never forget that some others are more unfortunate than you are. When we see what happens in the world and even in our neighbour, it's a crime to complain about little things like headache, cold,...

People like the man you talk with at gym are exemple of courage, of will and self-abnegation. These people are exemples to follow.

I would add that if you are worthy, you don't have to complain to have your friends and kins here for you.

    Take care

    Micka

  32. Truly inspirational. Sometimes we need to be pushed to the edge to realize how fragile our existence is, because we're are so worried and busy with wordly and futile things. Or what it's worst, sometimes we never do. And this people you talk about, they are happy, they are possitive, they are passionate about life, because they know that every single day they have is a miracle. We all be much more grateful and less self-centered if we all share this philosophy, a miracle: one more day to live.

  35. Hi there :)
Oh i know your feelings.... it happened to me last week.. i work in a lush shop and that day i had three blind ladies customers, they came with their dogs, they knew the shop so they had their own marks but i felt so moved cause they were so talkative, happy and nice!
Of course i had to tell them product's prices and take their hand to make them smell products but they were independent and soo happy to be here! I was impress really!
And i suddenly felt ashamed when i thought that sometimes i'm complaining about little bad things.... i admire a lot this kind of personn..really..:)
Have a good night, take care <3 <3

  36. Those kind of people are the ones who should be everyone's models for been positive.
Well, we're humans and we also complain, but still, those people makes you think about your situation in life, they actually make (me at least) remember to worth everything I have.

    Take care!!

  37. Good evening Anette!

Glad to hear You had a good day!

I really do agree with Your post. There's quite a lot disabeled people here and who are very active and just do so amazingly good in everything. Sometimes I do complain about this and that but then I think to myself that, I can see, I can walk and breath. What else do I need? I always think about people who climb on mountains, dive deep in the ocean or travel for thousands kilometers, being seriously disabeled or very sick and THEY DO IT! they reach for the starts and tops, without complaining even for a second and it does put me to shame. Such people are amazing inspiration and are real heros to. Battling with everyday to live comfortable and take it with a smile. To me, that's how everyone should live their lives. Not being happy about everything because it's impossible, but stay strong and believe in yourself no matter what. To stand up against your own fears and weaknesess and come over them. We don't even realize how strong we can be.

Seeing such beautiful human inspirtations, makes me think how beautiful life is and how much depends on us to make a difference in our and other people's lives.

    God bless,
    Karo E.

  38. Hello beautiful!
I have sent you to this little poem I Esparo you like ...

"Friend is a person who does not erase the time,
    that distance has not forgotten
    that evil does not destroy.

It's a feeling that comes from afar,
who gained a place in your heart
and you do not replace for anything.

    Is someone you feel this,
    while away ...
What comes to your side when you're alone
and never denies a sincere feeling.

Being a friend is not something one day,
are the actions, words and attitudes
    which solidify in time
    and not run down.
What are forever as everything that is done
    with an open heart. "

    Hope you enjoy,
    With affection and love
    Eduarda

  40. They are a good example for us. I saw on TV today the following sentence, which I think applies to this case:
"The difference between the sad person and the happy person is the way they look at problems."
Although it is difficult, if we can always see the good in situations for sure we'll all be happier people.

Have a very very good night my favorite Swedish singer.
    Peace=)
    (sorry for my bad english)

  42. This is really moving...
It's really intersting how disabled people, which are suffering a lot more than us can be so optimistic and happy, while us,healthy people worry about small problems. Those kind of people are really good examples for all of us,and all of our respect should go to them:)

    Lots Of Love,

  43. Dear Anette,
Thank you for sharing these events that happen to you!
I completely understand how you feel about the inspiration from someone that most people would think differently about. I have a friend who's daughter has Down's Syndrome and she is the sweetest little girl. She's had many difficult health issues but maintains her courage and love for everyone she meets. And she has a great sense of humor! She's not afraid to show her emotions and share with others. I have learned so much from her in the past 2 years. Appreciate everything you have!!
Like the old saying "never judge a book by it's cover." So true!!
Have a great day in Stockholm!

  44. Hey Anette ;)

its me again ;).Sorry But i need to say this:
You are for sure absolutley right. those are people to look up to, but dont forget about yourself! You are incredibly strong! you make your way no matter what any kind of narrow minded idiot thinks. you stand true to yourself. not many people are gifted with such great power and a adorable lovely personality. you had to overcome many many bad things, especially when it comes to those so called Nightwish fans (dont think about them, you have a biiiiiiiiiiiig biiiiiiiiiiiig support). But you are still strong :) even if its not easy all the time. So what i wanna say is: You are wonderful! I look up to you, belive me. and for sure everyone who likes/loves you looks up to you too.

everyone has diffrent problems, so there is nothing wrong by complaining if everything seems to be thorn apart. but the trick is in my opinion. Never give up. even if everything is dark, better times are always ahead ;)

So i hope your meeting will went fine ;)
    have a great day

    A biiiig huuuuuug
    Love and Respect
    Chris :)

Remember: You never walk alone :)

  45. Hey Anette,

Indeed people like that are true inspirations to the rest of the world. We should appreciate every little, tiny, microscopic thing we have in our lives.

    Take care,
    Dimitris

  46. That's true. Those kind of people are really inspirational.I have had that kind of situation too.

Once I had a roommate who had a bad celepral palsy/cp. She couldn't do everything just the same as we "normal", healthy people can. Example walking was pretty difficult for her. And the left side of her body had less stronger than the right side. But she was always so happy and didn't complained ever. She just said that "hey, this is what i am, and i am happy of that".

I think you Anette are a beautiful and strong person! :-)

    Love,
    Ewe

  47. Hey Nettan

This post made me thinking a little bit. It's definitely true that this kind of humans are really the people who everyone should have to respect. They are wonderfully strong and real fighters.

And yes, I too have had the situation where I complained about something pretty stupid and little thing and a while after that somebody told me something really shocking about his life and I felt myself very stupid and a bad human. But of course everybody has own problems and things which make you feel sad and frustrated. But deep inside we just have to be happy about what we have ;=) It's so important to be healthy,to have food and clean water etc...

And that man who goes to your gym... I think he's happy for having your respect, Anette. ;=)

    Take care,
    Kris
