Good morning!
ReplyDeleteCool song and lyrics is so in time! Thank you Anette and Kaoru. Have a nice day:)))
Thanks for sharing this, some very powerful lyrics in it, 'make another joke while they're hanging on the rope' pretty much strikes at the heart of what i've seen plastered over facebook recently regarding Amanda Todd. Sad that people are going on about why she got more publicity than others instead of asking what i think should be asked, which is why the f**k did this happen and why is it happening and why is it for most part being dismissed as 'normal'?
ReplyDeleteThank you for blogging about it, i've started a blog to address the issue as well, hopefully we can actually make some sort of difference.
Love you Anette
<3
Thanks Anette

ReplyDeleteEveryone must hear this song, thanks for sharing it :)
Big hugs
Ena :*
I'm glad you liked it! They are great and the song is so meaningful.
ReplyDeleteHey Anette!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for sharing this video, I am a big fan of Shinedown! :) I really think listening to the music you love is a big help to you if you are being bullied.
I wanted to share a music video with you but unfortunately, I can't do that from this device. The song is by a band named Rise Against and the song is called Make It Stop (September's Children). I really think you'll like the music video because it lets people know that things get better in life. Also, in making he video, the band worked with the It Gets Better Project to support victims of bullying.
I really you like the song and video! :)
Enjoy your day!
Cathal from Ireland :)
It`s a really great song! I love Shinedown)
ReplyDeleteHi Anette, just the link to another song about bullying, particularly homophobic bullying, but very touching none the less.....

Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if my last comment was posted, if it was, you can just remove this one.
I read a while ago that you like Epica so I thought I would share this with you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTuZByPYiWw
"Niks te gek" is a Dutch TV show in which mentally ill persons can make their dreams come true.
Thanks!
PS: I'm obviously not the guy in the video nor do I know him personally. I simply thought that you might like it. X
Shinedown are amazing!! If you haven't checked-out the rest of their music, I recommend it ;). That is a great song.
ReplyDeleteI gave you those In This Moment albums, and while I'm not sure if you listened to them, the band has been "bullied" in the sense that people who don't like them literally have walked up to them and said "you suck!" to their face.
Maria is a good looking girl. She uses her sexuality well enough to promote the band, but at the same time, she's a human being with feelings, and she's talented.
Her response to these "bullies" was this song: http://youtu.be/T4axPPWPCHc
Obviously the lyrics are supposed to be ironic, and yet most of them aren't.

Great song... ^^
ReplyDeleteHello, Nettie!
ReplyDeleteI just saw this picture on the web, thought you could post it on your blog, so everyone'd be able to spread the world with it.

Wish you a nice evening,

Hello, Anette, love Shinedown it's a favorite of my biological father. There is a movie that I think that you will enojoy called Cyberbully starring Emily Osment. The polt is about a teen girl who befriends a guy on a social network but doesn't know that he was created by a friend as a joke. The story says a lot of bullying and I think you will enjoy thee message about how bad cyberbullying is along with regular bullying. Below is the trailer:

ReplyDeleteShinedown really is an amazing band with the most amazing vocalist ever! <3
Kate Jager: Hi and thanks, I´ll check that movie out;=)
ReplyDeleteSleeping Sun: Hi and thanks! I´ll put it on the blog;=)
Lauren: Hi! I did listen to them with the other guys in the tour bus. Well, I will be honest and say that I didn't like it and thats mainly due to her aggressive singing. I am not so in to that. But the song Whore had a god chorus melody and its great she "fights back" those who talk b-shit abut her;=) Thats great! Thanks and take care!
Amelia: Hi and thanks! Wow, I got tears in my eyes and its so nice of Epica to do this;=) Great song and Simone and Ruurd sounds great together! I´ll post the video in the blog;=) Thanks!
Trina RV: Hi! Thanks for the link;=) Another great song!
Hey Anette!
ReplyDeleteIt's alright if you weren't into them. I wasn't sure of your taste in vocals. Some people who don't like screaming (I'm one of them) still like how she does it. But thanks for at least giving it a shot ;). Her band is one of those bands that a lot of people love, but a lot of people don't. It's all personal taste. You take care too Anette!
Aw, I love Shinedown! One of my favorite bands out there. I totally love this song. We may not ever be able to stop bullying completely but as more people can get into the mindset to help others and help them defend themselves hopefully one day there won't be as many as there are today that continue to bully people.
ReplyDeleteHey Anette,
ReplyDeleteFirst time writing here =) I hope it's not too late, but ever since you started talking about bullying one song came to my mind... I don't know if you've heard it or if you're into that type of music. It's not metal/rock but it always makes me feel better, so here you go... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAfyFTzZDMM (Actually, pretty much her whole “Stripped” record is quite inspiring).
Anyway... Take care and have a good day =)
