...the winter clothes today. In need of warmer sweaters since the temperature is dropping and every season i store summer versus winter clothes in our storage and then I open them up when its time;=) Good way of not having to buy so much clothes and its also fun to reinvent clothes I had forgotten I own.
I also have a couple of times per year when I go through my closet and sort things out that I for different reasons, no longer are using. The nicer and a bit more pricy clothes are sold through a luxury second hand store here in my city and the rest is given away to my friends and family or if no one wants it, given to charity.
When it comes to my children's clothes I store them and keep them for coming children, my own or someone else's;=)
Do you store your summer/winter clothes like this and what do you do with your used clothes? Do you buy a lot of second hand clothes or only new clothes?
When me and mum was in Copenhagen last week I bought clothes for Nemo from a luxury second hand store and when Seth was younger I always bought clothes from Ebay. Kids clothes, especially baby clothes, are normally just used a couple of times so therefore a good bargain=)

That´s funny, I store my clothes in the same way ;-)
ReplyDeleteSince I wear only black and am always out of money, I nearly never throw away clothes - if I do, I give them to charity. And buying clothes... When I have the money to, I buy whatever clothes I like. I don´t really care if they are second hand or new. I order a lot from a catalogue called EMP, but it´s too expensive... Waiting for christmas to get new clothes, ha, ha. I don´t need many clothes. More money is spend on books and CDs... And smoking, ahem.
I´m sorry, that´s such a weird question to ask, but I can think of no-one else who might answer it. As a star, there are fanfictions written about you. Did you ever read them? That´s something I´ve been asking myself for eternity... Do all this stars read "their" fanfictions? (Most stupid question ever. You don´t have to answer ^^)
Love, Betty
Well... I don't. Haha it's a damn mess in my closet, and I really need to see what I have, since it's kinda.... yeah... a mess. Haha
ReplyDeleteTalking about cleaner, I should clean up my room once more... oh well, the whole winter to do that. ;)
(I'll probably postpone it to next summer, knowing myself. Haha
Well,
G'day!
Xx
hi Anette,
ReplyDeleteit is the same at the beginning of the winter every year. First of all I sort out everything I do not want to wear anymore, mostly when it is damaged. In this case I give these clothes to the homeless here, they are very thankful every time. I buy new winter clothing in February and March, because during this period the stores want to get rid of the old stuff to have room for the spring and summer collections and are therefore offering them for a very low price. Then I store them for the next winter. But I think most people here do it this way.;-)
I do not really like second-hand clothing. Don't get me wrong, the quality is very good, but I feel uncomfortable in clothes someone else used before. I know, this is not very rational, but somehow it would be a problem for me.
All the best,
Daniel
Hej Anette!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm living in a smaller apartment her in Vienna due to my studies at university, I barely have enough room for all the clothes, bags, accessories etc. I have for the current season. ;=) Therefore, I store my summer/winter clothes just the way you do, except that my "storage" is my old room at my mum's house in a small town not far from Vienna, where is used to live before I finished school and went to study at university. So twice a year, my summer/winter stuff gets to move. ;=)
Since I'm not a pack rat and don't like to have too much stuff, I clean out my closet once a year too. Since I don't really believe in spending a lot of money for some brand-name clothes, I don't think I could sell any of my stuff to a second hand store, but what my best friends and I have been doing for the last years is to meet at someone's place and have a "clothes/bags/shoes/accessories-swapping-party" where everyone brings stuff they no longer use and then we all get to swap and exchange or stuff for some of our friends' stuff. It's really fun to do that and we always have great music and food to make the clothes swapping even more fun. ;=)
And the remaining stuff I also donate to charity, to projects where I know that people who have much less than I do will benefit from it. However, I only give away good stuff to charity, because I know a lot of people who give away stuff that is dirty or broken or really worn down and I think that's just disrespectful to the people who will get the things in the end since they deserve to get something nice too!
My mum also stored the nicest and cutest of my children and baby clothes to give me when I will have my own children someday. ;=)
I went through them a while ago and I found little shoes and socks and playsuits and my first swimsuit and they were soooo tiny!!
I always find it so hard to believe that I once was this little... aaahh, nostalgia hitting me! ;=)
Do you still have some of your own clothes and toys from your childhood, Anette?
I hope you have a lovely day!
Hugs
Sabine
Hi Anette :)
ReplyDeleteI too store my summer/winter clothes. I changed the clothes summer versus winter in my wardrobe last week. I realized that I have more summer clothes as winter ones. I have to do some shopping. that's a great news ;) Usually I buy new clothes, but sometimes my friend give me some really nice clothes which she does not use more. Now she's away for work for a year :( I hope we'll meet soon. Thanks God we have Skype, so we can speak almost every day.
Have a nice day :)
Lots of kisses to all of you over there in Helsingborg:)
I've only actually stored most of my Iron Maiden t-shirts, I have something like 55 - 60 (I haven't counted or catalogued my Iron Maiden collection in a long time.)
ReplyDeleteMy mum normally just takes my used clothes to a charity shop for me :).
Betty Blue, have you seen that episode of Supernatural where Sam and Dean stumble across their own slash fic on the internet? Your question reminded me of it :D
Some time ago I changed my wardrobe and now I have only clothes that fit to the other and are very good quality.
ReplyDeleteI recommend two books which are inspiration to me. Books by Nina Garcia: The Little Black Book of Style and The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own. I love then both.
I try to buy clothes that fit at least up to 10 other things in my closet. This method help my to eliminates the clothing mistake. But once a year go through my closet and as You and sort what I have. My husband's sister own second hand so she can sell this stuff what I don't need.Very offen I can buy on her shop new and luxury stuff which helps to my budget. Also I given clothes for my fiends and also for charity.
Magda
Well I usually don't pack up my summer/winter clothes, I just put the appropiate pieces on the others :D It's not a big deal for boys! :D
ReplyDelete"I store them and keep them for coming children, my own or someone else's;=)" - are you planning to have a third child? :o :D :D
I keep all the clothes in one closet))) russksâ the manner of wear to the holes and throw away! =) then bought the new course. We have decided to wear for someone!
ReplyDeleteHi Anette,
ReplyDeleteIs there any chance to see you on last concert in Europe with NW. Where we will have the opportunity to appropriate thanks to You for the effort of playing in NW.
Hej Anette!

Hi! I had a question I was curious about, how cold does it get there in the winter time? :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
I do that too :D
ReplyDeleteWe don't have this kinda of luxury second hand stores here, we only thing we have is bazaars and stuff .. I don't buy there, not because I have problem with that but because the clothes are always kinda ugly haha it's really cheap really good but so hard to find something nice :( but i did buy a purse once and also a vintage coat with a belt so adorable! =)
Well, when i'm mentally prepared to give some of my stuff ( i'm attached to things haha ) i go to my church, and leave my clothes there!
They separate and give to the poorest families and also to indian tribes that we have here ( they are modern, they wear clothes haha ) they have pretty much nothing =(
Have a nice day beautiful and have fun packing up :D
Ps: Thanks for your answer there, yes I would never have relations with my boss to get a promotion, it can take a while but I prefer to win this because i worked for this than get it like that! but believe me Nettie, theres a lot of girls that do this, LOTS OF THEM :/ disgusting people!
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteI don't store as I wear the same clothes all year, exept that in winter I add pullover over my dresses and an leather jacket =)
I remember year ago you saidyou wanted to sell your clothes on ebay so we can buy them. It would be so good to get the chance to buy it. As I told you, I'll have a surgery to lose weight and I have to say it would be an awesome target to think "In X weeks I have to fit in Anette's clothes". And I would be even more proud of my weight lose then =)
And to reply you, I sent the package in september 2011, between the 1st and 15th I think. Did you give my adress to Sofia?
Love & Hugs
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteIt's getting colder here too, and today's morning I had to put my cap on cause it was -7 degrees:( So winter is just around the corner:( I don't hate winter, it's fun and so beautiful when everything is covered with snow, but here it's too cold, especially in January and February, to -30 and even -40 in the morning sometimes with cold wind. But average day temperature, I suppose, is about -17 -20, not so awful:)) That's why I always can't wait for spring and summer:)
As for my clothes, I don't pack it up in some special way. I just keep all warm sweaters and summer t-shirts and stuff on the different boards in my storage. I don't buy so much clothes, and keeping it is not a big problem for me. If I don't need something anymore I usually give it away to my family or someone else. I've never bought anything from second-hand stores, but it's not because I don't want to wear someone's clothes (when I was a child I had clothes from my elder cousin). I've just never seen any second-hand store in my town:) but I'm sure, we have it somewhere:)
Take care,
Julia.
Hello Anette! When I see that some clouthes is very used, first I tought if I can repair it, cutting the collar or sleeves. But at teh most of the times I give it to charity. Normally in Brazil we use the clouthes until you can't use anymore. So, when you went to some second hand stores, you mostly find really old clothes. But In some stores, in alternative places, you can find really nice vintage clothes in a good state. When i was in USA, a bouth in a second hand store a really beautiful leather messenger bag for 30 dollars!
ReplyDeleteTake care and a nice week Anette :)
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteI live in a big family, I have two bigger sisters and a little brother, so only a few times we buy new clothes. Of course, my brother can't wear all my old stuff and my parents often go to department stores to buy something, but we never waste what we have, especially because we aren't in a good economical period, so we do our best to not spend money :) hope everything's ok, here in Italy the temperature fell very quickly so I got a bad cold :( I would like to have a hoddie because I haven't got much winter clothes. I don't want to ask my parents: christmas is always a little problem, because of the gifts that "santa" brings to my little brother and the ones my parents give to us.. they need a lot of money during this holiday- time to buy all those things. I know they do it because they want to see us happy, but I feel a little guilty thinking about the money they spend.. sorry for the sad comment, hope you'll have a happy christmas with your family! :D have a nice day!
Well, I don't make any differences between my summer and winter clothes. I don't own any special winter clothes. That is why I am freezing a lot. But I prefer freezing than wearing clothes that keep me warm but looking terrible on me because all winter clothes are so fat.
ReplyDeleteI put on 2 long sleeves so that keeps me warm for some time. When it's cold I prefere not to be outside, so it works for me.
And I am never sick. I know thats the first reason for people to wear warm clothes but I cannot remember my last time I had to stay in bed because of sickness.
I would never buy second hand clothes beacause you never know who has worn it.
But for babys it's ok, because they grow up so fast. Many baby clothes are unused
Yeah, I store my clothes like this.
ReplyDeleteUsually I give my used clothes to my friends or to charity. And about buying: more often I buy clothes in shops or order in the Intenet. But I remembered that in last year I bought a lot of clothes in second hand store: and it things were almost new :-)
hi, Anette!
ReplyDeleteI like sweaters)))
I have 1 question, if you can say somethin', please do it!
I have problem with my skin, my age is 21 and I have acne and oily skin, it's so bad( maybe, you know good things for this problem... I use bb-creams, but before women period I have some acnes on my cheeks. this fact make me think that I'm not beautiful girl ;=(
love you, Anette. hugs from Russia
my e-mail is irina.future@mail.ru
Hello Anette!
ReplyDeleteI usually store my summer jackets to our storage. Now I've been checking my closet and noticed that I have way too much clothes that I don't wear anymore. That's why my closet is always full and sometimes I can't find anything I want at the time. I've been thinking that maybe I should give them to Salvation Army or something because we don't have many second hand stores in our town. Once I tried to sell my things there but almost none was gone when I went to empty my table.
I really like your style and would like to know how you combine your clothes? Could you give some tips? I have quite dark skin. People say that I look like Indian. :D I really like leopard pattern in clothes but just don't figure what kind of colors I could use with it. Black of course suits for everything but I'd like to try something different.
Lestatek: Hi! I am so sorry but I won't do any more shows with NW so the only thing to do is to look at old concerts in youtube or see the movie, where I appear in two scenes. They have moved on with another singer and that´s that. Take care;=)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI (and my whole family) store clothes the same way. I think that's practical, it's easier to find everything :D
ReplyDeleteIn my country second hand shops aren't really popular, there are only a few individuals and organizations that organize clothes exchange. People are still too proud to take personal stuff from others, because here this still represents a sign of poverty, unfortunately.
But I do get clothes from my older relative, she buys a lot and almost never wears them. And some of my friends get second hand clothes as well, but this is still limited, we only get (buy) clothes from people we personally know.
I support second hand shops, especially for children clothing for the reasons you already listed. Hope they get popular around here soon :)
Take care,
Anastasia
Susanna: Hi! Well, today I have a blue leopard blouse and to not make the outfit be to crazy I keep the other clothes in a neutral color, like black. I like to add some color or an accessory to my outfits if they are in just one color. If I wear all black I put on a big necklace with some color or wear an orange handbag to break the black. If you want to use leopard, try to use only that patter on one thing. Like leopard shoes to blue jeans and a top or a leopard jacket to all black clothes;=)
ReplyDeleteMilie: Hi! I don't know so much about acne since I mainly have the other problem with to dry skin. But I believe you should use a really good cleanser day and night, without oil in it, like this one for mixed skin: http://skincity.se/sv/product/2396/fresh-purifying-gel
Then a product I know many with acne has bought and like is Proactiv. Here is the link: http://www.proactiv.se/
One brand I really like to use is MD formulations. They have really good skin care for almost any problem. Here they are: http://skincity.se/sv/99/md-formulations?gclid=CI3CoNz2qLMCFdB3cAod628A6A
Good luck;=)
Alina; Hi! yeah, I also buy a lot online, really easy;=) And second hand can have such great stuff if you just have the time to go through the whole store;=)
Micha; Hi! i hate to freeze and would die here in the cold weather without my thick (boring) jackets and UGG boots=)
Riccardo; Hi! I know exactly what you mean and I come from a family with three children and my mother was a single parent so our finances weren't great either. She made clothes for us and then we inherited clothes from each other and so on. And I do the same to my children, Its good that I only have boys so Nemo can have Seths old clothes;=) I think re-use is really good and also, if you want to get new clothes but don't have any money, you can have a clothes shifter party. You invite some friends and everyone bring like 4 or 5 things, hang them up so everyone can walk around like in a store and try them on and then you switch and get a new closet for free;=) And the clothes you might hate, your friend might love;=)
oh, Anette, thank you! I'll read about it all)))
DeleteI don't remember, did I ask you about asian bb-creams? do you have some of it? I like them, I have over 5 or 7, I think, and they are cool. also asian cosmetics for women over 30 years old are very nice, I read many blogs about it. I think, you can read too)
Now I'm in searching of my own style in clothing... It's so difficult :0 I like vintage and rock clothes, but I don't know what is the best for me... How difficult to be woman, LOL))) Also I work with my body with diets and some sports. You're good example of active woman, I like you)
I'm one big problem)))
I remember your clothes at last Moscow clothes and want to have the same to rock all)))
Anette, there is snow! so much snow! OMG, it's october or january?!
Luuh; Hi! Here in Sweden I belive we shop a lot of clothes so therefore a lot of the second hand clothes are almost new. But of course you can find old clothes from 50s and 60s and they are worn a 1000 times;=)
ReplyDeleteJulia: Hi! Good that you don't buy so much clothes. Sometimes I believe we buy more than we need;=)
Oceane: Hi! What was in the package? Cause thats a long time ago and I did get some stuff I remember. We have the Pluto for Nemo but that was the first thing you sent:=)
I would like to sell on Ebay but the problem is that it will take a lot of time to ship the clothes so thats why I sell at the second hand store. She takes care of everything and we share the profit;=)
Karoline: yeah, a lot of second hand clothes are just to old and smelly. But if you go to a nicer store with designer stuff and so on, they are normally in a really nice shape and so much cheaper;=) A lot of students in my city buy stuff in the luxury second hand and for them its a bargain to get a designer scarf for 1/3 of the price.
Brianna; Hi! Well, since this is the south of Sweden its not THAT cold but we are by the ocean so its sooo windy here all the time and then it can be -3 and feel like -15 outside;=( But the temperature can go down to minus 10 normally.
Sabine; Hi! Funny, I just wrote an answer here about clothes switching parties;=) Thats a great thing to do;=)
Ellinor: Hej! Ja, antingen gillar man kläder mycket eller så är de bara ngt man slänger på sig;=) Oavsett vilket ska de ju bara användas;=)
Александр Видякин: That´s good;=)
Norbii; Hi and yes, I will;=)
Magda; Hi! I do the same nowadays. I guess I have gotten tired of looking into the closet and there´s nothing that matches the other=) And also I don't follow fashion anymore. I dress in what I know suits my body and I have decided that I own mostly black, grey, dark blue and white basic clothes and then I can add a colory thing sometimes but they need to be timeless and match the other stuff. So I do like you now and also its good cause I don't have to buy so much clothes anymore;=) I´ll check the books, thanks for the tip;=)
Meghan: hehe, I guess you LOVE Iron maiden;=) They are good!
DarkQUeen: Hi and thanks;=) yeah, its always nice to find out you need to buy some new clothes;=)
Daniel; hi! I don't think there´s something wrong with not wanting to wear used clothes. We are all different and some doesn't want to;=)
Elize: Haha, well even if I clean my closet so often it still look like a disaster most of the time;=)
Betty Blue; Hi! Is there those fan fictions about me? I didn't know;=) Where can I read them? Would be nice...;=)
About the fanfics, there are about you, but they mostly couple you and Tuomas, or you and Emppu, or something horrible happens to you, and then (most of the time) Tuomas is there to safe you. Hahahaha it's fun to read though. :)
Delete(The Tarja-Tuomas fanfictions are HOT! =])
Oh my, you didn´t know. I wonder if I did the right thing when I told you xD
DeleteWell, I don´t know about English ones, the ones I know are in German. Mostly on websites like fanfiktion.de (http://www.fanfiktion.de/Finnische-Gruppen/c/109003006/search/1/bc5f2c4ef58cd2f526686975dbb1e314 for the ones being most likely about you) or myfanfiction.de (http://www.myfanfiction.de/texte/nightwish for the ones most likely about you on this website), far as I know you speak a bit German, I don´t know if you understand them... Otherwise I´m sure that here are a lot of fanfiction-authors that would translate their stories for you or can give you links to English or even Swedish websites that I don´t know.
I just researched some English fanfiction-websites but as it seems, us Germans are the only ones writing fanfictions about our favourite stars... Weird. I really don´t know if there are English real-life-FF´s. But if I find some about you I will tell you ;-)
Love, Betty
Hej Anette!
//Ellinor
Saying I love Iron Maiden is an understatement ;), to say I'm absolutely insane about them more accurate haha. Iron Maiden are an amazing band though, having said that, what Maiden song do you reckon their best is?
DeleteEva, please post links, I'm curious too haha.
Oh, about fanfics:-) I realy didn't know that in so many contries so many people write fanfics about you! I thougth it is only here in Russia. We have so many sites, groups in internet with fanfics about you and Nightwish. I spent a lot of nights reading them, and every time in the end I was crying, becouse some of them are so touching! And espetially about you, they are my favourite!!! But they are on russian language..sorry:-( But maybe I can translate something, but if the author will agree and I'll have free time. But I think that some of them are masterpieces and you MUST read them:-) And you can try to find something in English, I read it once, but can't remember, where...
DeleteHugs!:-)
Yeah, that's also true... hmm... and when I cleaned it, it's mostly a mess after a week. So it makes no sense... HOWEVER, of course, my mom thinks it does... I haven't found a way yet to convince her that it'll be a mess anyway... haha
ReplyDeleteHahaha, ah yes, I just read that comment of yours! Fools seldom differ! ;=)
ReplyDeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteI also like to check my wardrobe every season and if some clothes are still fine but I know that I won't wear them anymore I give them to charity. The ones that aren't suitable for giving away I often keep and wear at home or just throw them away if they also don't fit me anymore or similar.
A bit off topic.. Since you've mentioned charity I also remembered on animals. Considering blankets that we don't use anymore we often give to "dog shelter" (I don't know the right expression; hope that you understand what I mean) or sometimes even buy few for them, beside food.
Have a nice day!
Taaja
Hi Anette,
ReplyDeleteI haven´t the money to buy new clothes. I buy only the most necessary thing I contributed for the. Now comes my only Winterjackeund my folks winter boots out of the closet.
I buy new clothes only when I can afford it too. Otherwise, my family and I make clothes swap. If we sort out what their things and get them to seek out some new clothes, and the rest is passed.
All the Best, Nalon
Second hand stores! That's a wonderful idea!I've always wanted to go into a thrift store (I'm a sucker for old things. Not to mention the prices are usually very low AND the clothes being old just give me the idea that they have a story behind them, and it's quite fascinating),but we don't have any. There is one, indeed, for kids,I believe. It' very, very little though,so my mum hardly ever goes there.I buy a most of my clothes from online stores (the shops we have here don't fit my taste),and I have to admit there are only a few things that I don't wear, because buying online means I have the time to ponder more on what to buy and I can see in other sites and so on.In second place, having a paycheck of 10€ per week,I try to spend the money as wisely as possible for a shopping addict teen - it's pretty rare I stop using something. Most of the times,I use shirts until the colour is so washed out it isn't recognizable. However, when I stop using something,I tend to give it to my sister (but since she's average/basic looking and doesn't really like ~goth~ things on her,she hardly ever uses them),or to charity. Our town's really into charity (little town, church, all that),so we've been doing this forever.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little my mum used to change the summer/spring and autumn/winter clothes for me (just like you're doing!) but then I moved in a room on my own,so Have my personal wardrobe, which is big enough for all my clothes. Also,I basically use the same tees/stuff all year.I mix them differently, but it's always tee+corset or tee+sweater or something. The only thing that changes are the jeans and/or the number of layers of clothes! And,obviously,I'm too lazy anyway to do this whole season change ahah.
Have a nice day,
xx
Every 2-4 months I go through everything I own and decide what to donate to a I pick clothes in black, pink or purple and multi-purpose clothing. With the exception of shorts, I wear what I have throughout the year and layer (or un-layer) based on temperature. Trying to live more like a wanderer! My motto is if it doesn't fit in my van, when I move, it's not going. ;):)
ReplyDeleteHi Anette,
ReplyDeleteI'm packing up my winter clothes too ! This morning I had to put away the ice on my car, so I really need my gloves... Brrr
And, actually, I found a lot of groups on Facebook to sale my old clothes. There are some groups in different town (for my own city I had 4 or 5 groups), and I sale some of my outfits to other girls, or sometimes we exchange our outfits. It's really nice.
When I don't sale my clothes I give them for charity, or for my little cousin (who will be taller than me, but for the moment I can give them my outfits) !
Have a nice evening, and an happy Halloween day ;)

ReplyDeleteHey dear Anette!
ReplyDeleteI started to store my "seasons clothes" this year and now i found it very usefull! The thing is i put them in bags (i need to get boxes) and it's quite a problem to pack winter clothes since my mother loves crochet i have plenty of warm things to wear... but it's hard to make them all share 1 or 2 bags!
These days i'd love to see one of your party outfits, you have such a nice taste in clothes! =)
Hugs!
Good evening Anette :)
ReplyDeleteI do it like you do. Every summer / winter beginning I choose the things that do not fit me or the ones I don't want anymore and these ones I give to charity or to the smaller kids of my family, if they want some of them. But most of my shoes and clothes are given to charity by me because well I think those people really need the clothes and if I can help I'm always happy. Cool that you do this to! :)
I mostly buy new clothes because in my region there are no secondhand shops :-(
Hugs to you!
Eva
Hey! :)
ReplyDeleteMy older clothes I give to my cousins or I use it when I'm at home and do something outside... but I buy only new clothes, not second hand or I wear something what my older cousins gave me :)
Have a nice evening ;)
Hug from Croatia, Marija
I used to buy lots of second hand clothes, then I stopped with it, now I've done it again. :) Ok, our town is very small and we only have one second hand store, but actually you can find many nice things there if you just have some time!
ReplyDeleteI feel often that summer is so short and cold here that I never pack all my winter clothes far away... Well, of course I take skiing- and snowmobile dresses to the storage, and shoes, but hats and gloves and wool clothes are always available in my wardrobe. :D
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteWell, I live in northeastern Brazil and the weather is very hot here! I almost don't have warm clothes. I have a few jackets and use them only in July and August, which are the coldest months here, but do not compare with the cold you know. The lowest temperature here is usually 15 ° C. I would like to know places really cold.
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteI store my clothes the same way:) As for the clothes I'm not wearing anymore, I usually give them to my kiths from the nearest village. I used to buy new clothes but I have one top from second hand store and it's really nice:)
Soon I'll need to get my winter coat from the closet 'cause in a few weeks there'll be very cold. Real winter. Sometimes we have -35°. Brr..
Have a nice day:)
my winter and summer clothes are mixed. i mostly wear jeans and tshirts/vests. the patterned tshirts and tunics come out in summer. the hoodies i wear autumn, winter and spring..depends if we have a summer here in england. for coats i have a fuax leather and fur coat and a wax jacket that's great when it's snowing.
ReplyDeleteas for giving my clothes away...i wear my clothes until they're no longer fit for purpose and the only use left for them is rags. :/
Hej Anette!
ReplyDeleteI don't store my clothes, since I don't have them that much. I have several summer tops that I use under hoodies in winter. I'm a student, so I really don't have the money to buy constantly new clothes. I buy new clothes like two times in a year. Sometimes I get old clothes from my dear sister. She's a bit bigger than me, so I have to modify her clothes to fit for me.
If I have small clothes, I try to modify them bigger in order to fit me that I could still use them. Usually it's mission impossible and in these cases I take the fabric and make something new of that piece of cloth. I try to reuse my clothes as much as possible.
I don't actually change my wardrobe i just add a jumper, woolly tights, hat, gloves and a scarf.
