  7. Hi, Anette!

Oh, that's cool to have an extra hour if sleep. Where I live this summer/winter time was cancelled couple of years ago so we don't change it anymore.

    Have a good night:)

    How was your day?
    Any news from my package?

  26. I got a good night's sleep in the first night of winter time, even though I got to bed late. I was up late watching tv. Here in Denmark we've had a focus on cancer this week, and last night there was a four hour long show with entertainment as well as stories from people who've had cancer or been close to some who had/has cancer.
We gathered a lot of money in Denmark this week, in fact, this is the final result of what was gathered: 100.701.000 Danish Kroner!
Over one hundred million! It was really incredible! I lost my grandfather to cancer just this summer, so it was hard to see some of the stories from people who had gone through the same.

I just wanted to share this with you, because I know you care a lot about people being bullied, and I thought that this was equally important - both bullying and cancer can be deadly! So I hope you will be proud of us Danes for gathering this much money - I know I am :)

    Hugs,
    Mads.

  28. I realy liked thar extra hour of weekend! I realy need it! I was sleeping at a friend and I was riding a horse for the very first time in my life! I liked it! Horses are so nice! Now I'm tired of being awake for so long! Well I guess I have to sleep very soon because otherwise I can't go to school anyway.I'm writing a story about you and Nightwish but I have one small question about Nemo. Which shade of blonde hair does he got? I'm writing since a year I guess. I realy like it. If you want to read it, just say, I'll translate and send it to you!(It's on a website and my english is quite good so I can pit the translations there and you can read it) I have to say it is a fanfiction and realy unreal but I hope you like my style of writing! The story isn't finished yet but the piece I have is nice. Kisses from holland!

I don't know a theme but I guess I'm going to make it about a girl which is bullyed very hard. So hard that she gets raped ore something. I realy have some great ideas now. But I don't hace a title maybe something like: Never say that again. Or; Let me go. I hope you know some titles. Love you!

  32. Hi Anette! I don't comment much, but I ALWAYS read your blog, and have since you started it. Just wanted to share some good news in my world you might appreciate. I will understand if you wish not to post this comment because I am basically bragging about my brother! :P

My brother is a singer here in the US. He recently got an amazing opportunity that I was lucky enough to be apart of. He was chosen by a new tv show here called Opening Act. They choose people from the internet (like youtube), to open for someone big. He was surprised and told he was getting to open for LADY GAGA! .. and it was in AUSTRALIA!! the experience was amazing, but there was some snags in the whole thing. Since it's a tv show they like to have their stories. So they figured out that my mom is religious and she is not supportive of things like Lady Gaga and what she stands for. So my mom did not want to come to Australia or have anything to do with Gaga. We both understand, but the cameras focused a lot on the drama and made into a bigger deal than it was. So now the TV show has aired, and some people on the internet are very mean and rude towards our mom because she didn't come to support him in Australia since she doesn't like Lady Gaga. It's a tricky situation. I can see how people that don't know the whole story would be confused and want to blame her or whatever, but she really is supportive! They just kind of exaggerated her! Anyway, I don't know why I thought to share this with you, other than my family is going through a weird phase now because we are all so happy he is getting exposure, but the backlash about all of the religious stuff (which is so weird to talk about on TV!!!) is really weird.
I would love it if you check him out, his name is Von Smith. He is a crazy singer. I came from a family of singers, and I just want you to know that you are MY favorite singer. Von has been to lots of NW shows with me and also has a great respect for you as a vocalist. :)
Here he is opening for Lady Gaga. (yes that is me crying on the camera.. lol also you can't really see it but the top I'm wearing I bought because I was inspired by your jacket you wore in Russia in 2009)..

Also you can watch the full episode of him on the show here:

Once again, I'm not trying to advertise I just wanted to share this with my favorite singer! :)
    Lots of Love

  33. Haha, there was a funny thing yesterday with this time changing. My friend told me: her smartphone changed the time automatically. She woke up for work and realised that she's almost late. She was in a hurry, of course, and left for work even without a make-up:) And when she came, it was like that: some other of her co-workers came late too, even her boss, and for the same reason:) their phones changed time automatically too:) And my friend was so upset because she could prepared herself better and not to hurry so much:)

  34. Winter time is not good for us, for the Crimea, as at 4 o'clock p.m it's already dark outside. Our time is summer, but the government doesn't understand it and doesn't listen to us. So...we have one extra hour, too :-)

  35. Nodoubtoholic: Hi! and wow, you are so free to advertise and do PR for such a talented brother of yours here;=) What a great voice and what a great opportunity for him!! Really liked his voice even if Halo isn't a favourite song of mine. But he can really reach some high notes and he reminds me of the singer of Steelheart who can sing amazingly high. Check him out here: http://youtu.be/ICJs1CxCRt0
Take care and say hi to your brother;=)

Mads: Hi and thanks for telling about the amazing amount you danish collected;=) Cancer is a bad thing and I really don't like this decease. Its so hard cause we all can have it and they say 1 out of 3 will get it in their life. Scary;=( Take care!

    1. Thank you for the reply Anette!! I am watching the Steelheart video, I had never heard of them. I think this guy is more like Adam Lambert maybe? The range is similar though. I don't know where he gets his range. It makes me mad because he can sing lower AND higher than me!! :P Maybe you would appreciate the original song he has called Hopeless. It's a great anthem for the cause you support. "we might be broken, we might be falling apart, we might be paralyzed from all the fear in our hearts, but we're not hopeless.." I think it's such an uplifting song.

Also he tackled his own pop version of "Music of the Night" from Phantom a few years ago. It's pretty outstanding! (He has a queen cover floating around too somewhere).

  37. Hi again Anette :)

Yes, it is very scary that 1 out of 3 will statistically get cancer - we really have to change that!
I remember sitting with my grandfather at the hospital this summer. My mom, brother, grandmother, uncle and I sat with him for the last three days and nights, nonstop. We cried, we shared stories, we laughed, and cried some more. I think we couldn't have handled it any better than we did. My grandfather was unconcious almost the entire three days, but when we arrived at the hospital and took his hand, and said that we where here, he smiled a bit. I played music for him as well, and I could tell that he felt more at ease.

I will never forget those three days we spent in his hospital room, sleeping on the floor or in chairs. It was a horrible, but also somehow a beautiful experience to be with him. I'm glad I got to say goodbye.

I don't know if you've lost anyone to this horrible illness, but if you have, I just want to tell you that I'm sorry, because I know how it hurts. Cancer is such an evil illness!

    Take care as well :)

    Mads.

  38. Anette, thank you. From what I last heard she was awake and alert at the hospital, other than that though I have no idea on how this will turn out.

Thank you so much thought for your kind words.
