...that Vesna showed me is one with Kate Perry singing together with an autistic girl. This girl has gotten so far thanks to a program that has helped her and she has also found music to express herself and she sings so well and plays the piano wonderfully;=)
Very touching and shows us anything is possible!

That was beautiful. :D
ReplyDeleteI could really feel how much they both meant the words of the song.
I'm currently studying music therapy for a few months as part of my course and it's really interesting! It seems that no matter how damaged a person's brain might be, they are always still able to understand and appreciate different musical elements, so it can help them to express, communicate and in some cases even help those with physical disabilities to find movement a little easier. Really interesting stuff!
ReplyDeletethat was amazing, that girl is really talented :)
ReplyDeleteDear Anette,
ReplyDeleteYou are really my favorite singer! And when I saw all bulling things in your blog, I get really good feeling :) But I want you to know my story. I won't tell all, but all I. Can.
Well, when I was little girl my hair wasn't start growing until I was 2 or 3. So it was really short. And others started berate it. And I became really shy.
And then I went to school. It was horrible. They bullied me over 10 year! From 3 years to 14. I'm now 15. Bulling stoped when I, well I did cutting. Not much. But my almost only friend said that I have to talk somebody, that my parents will never know. She lied.
Now, I'm not cutting anymore. I like scratch. Not much.
Sorry my bad language, I'm horrible in English, I'm Finn...
And sorry all this... Hope you will never read this :P No, just kidding...
It's so beautiful to see how a tiny tiny little smile bloomed on the corner of the little girl's lips when the first round of applause came while she was singing. So subtle yet noticeable, that part almost brought tears to my eyes. Really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteVery touching!! And Firework is a beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a Japanese 24-hour show they broadcast every year (I'm not Japanese, lol, but I do love Japan) where different artists show us the situation of handicapped kids who still go on strong.
There is one performance by Ayaka Hirahara with a Korean kid who only has two fingers and can play the piano amazingly!! Here's the link. It's really impressive and the song is so beautiful (it's based on Holst's Jupiter): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw0bHyIpTXE
Hi Anette,
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always so beautiful. It's really better for more people to realize that all the "underprivileged" have the opportunity for a better life.
A little off topic: I want to show you one fulfillment of our /Bulgarian/ singer - Polly Genova that in summer made a song called "Salty days." The beginning of the song reminds me of your "Floating". Perhaps the motif is very liked Polly, and she decided to use it. I hope you are not dissatisfied.
I share with you with the best feeling.

Isa
I have a love/hate kind of relationship with Katy.I like her and her music, not to mention how much I appreciate the fact that she's one of those who invite us to be ourselves.Yet,I can't help but remember that, even though now she's joining pro-LGBT projects and such, her career started off with a song that stereotyped and almost mocked lesbians. However,I guess nobody's perfect, and I'll just appreciate her huge work for these beautiful projects.
ReplyDeleteShe and the girl are sooo lovely,by the way!
xx
That's indeed very touching.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your studies. I believe you can make it. Either way, it's not wasted time.
I'm glad you have more time to "stay" with us, it's so inspiring. How are you in your body today? I wish you could start running again. But, as you say, good to walk in the forest!
p.s. I read that Oceane is really concerned about her package she sent you - do you think your assistant can take care of it? I feel sorry for her=)
Take care and cya later!
Poochie
Oh that's so sweet! =)

With best wishes!
Oh, I haven't seen that, thanks for sharing, very nice video:-)
DeleteAww,thats so sweet and beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs.
It amazing that stars can take time out of their day to prove that someone that is different matters. I just wish that other people can see it too. My mother works in the school district working with these types of kids, and though they have problems they just truly want to belong.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't give up on dreams for anyone: because without dreams and wants, then life is boring and useless..
*hug* Smile Anette! You're amazing and I love your viewpoints. <3
This little girl is so cute and Katy was amazing I don't like this kind of music but she is always so good with her fans =) ! Actually when someone has a problem like that, the person has lots of willpower, more than anybody else.. they wanna prove that they can do anything and THEY CAN doesn't matter which problem they have ( physical or psychological ), i saw in discovery a documentary about a man, he has severe autism and he couldn't communicate very well and people didn't understood him very much til the day that he and his friend that also have severe autism made a computer program, so pretty much they type what they wanna say and a voice in the computer speaks and actually helped a lot of other people with autism too , i cried a lot watching this especially when they gave a speech with the program...even my father cried haha i don't know if you know about this already but their names are Larry Bissonnette and Tracy Thresher and if you wanna watch it there's a trailer here =)

I would like to speak better English to comment on your blog but I use a translator: D
Kisses from your fan number 1 in Spain, Alvaro :)
Anette is so beautiful to see you demonstrate against bullying. I feel proud to be your fan.
ReplyDeleteBullying is not nice for anyone, but when we overcome, we become stronger.
This is simply amazing. I really have no words for this. Seeing people like Jodi is really inspiring, and this clearly evidences that strenght and beauty are in all of us. The video is really touching :) thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAnette, this really is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have asperger syndrome (which is a form of autism), so i felt really touched by this.
Thank you for being your lovely self x
Thanks for this moving video...We don't have to understimate problems like that, make fun of them...bullying in a particoular way.
ReplyDeleteJust think about what happened to Amanda Todd...Just hope people will understand one day...You're doing a great work about all this evil Nettie!:)
mynta:If you got out of that alone, with only your strenght...You're amazing. Just think that you are not alone, the srenght you're showing is outstanding...Keep on going on my friend! :)
That video was so amazing, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI just today realized that you have been active with your blog again. So nice to have you back.
And it is really great that you are using your voice against bullying. I have some experience of my own regarding being bullied, in my childhood and as an adult also. It can make your life really hard.
It is so nice to know that you are doing fine and enjoying life with your kids and so. I still miss you though as the singer for Nightwish. I really really loved your voice and the latest album. You did such a great job. I just wish from the bottom of my heart that you and Nightwish did not part ways because of bullying. That would break my heart.
I wish you all the best and eagerly wait for your blog posts to come! xoxo
Everdream: Hi! Yes, I´m back again;=) I missed you all to much! Yeah, I feel I really want to make a statement against bullying since its something I both have experienced as a chid as an adult and I also know many others who have sufferered from it in adult age.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for your kind words;=) I did my very best in NW and I hope everyone knows that. Take care now!
Vermillion; Hi and yes, exactly;=)
Courtney; Hi and thanks;=) Take good care!
Gitte; Hi and thanks;=) And no worries about the translation, I understand it.
Bevan; Hi! Yeah, she is truly amazing and showing we can do anything!
Carol: Hi and yeah, the more we do about it the better.
Alvaro; Hi and thanks,=) And no worries about the translation, it works just fine;=)
Karoline; Hi and thanks, I´ll check that link. It sounds really interesting!

Isa
No worries, the dude's just epic, good encouragement for me to get back into learning how to play bass :)
Deletemynta; Hi and thanks for sharing your story. I am so sorry for what you had to go through;=( Its sad that you had to suffer for 10 years like that! And I am sorry that you didn't tell your parents. Thats something many children doesn't and it would be better if they did. I hope you feel much better now! Take good care,=)
ReplyDeleteLogan: Hi, yeah she sure is!
Harrawrson: Yeah, they both sang it really well;=)
Sofi: Hi! yeah, really interesting stuff!
the way her musical ear is...I'm extremely impressed, anette. just near the line of being genious
ReplyDeleteone more thing...I'm just having hard time puting her into the same category as other autistic humans.
ReplyDeleteher eye contact is quite fine, she has control over her intelligence in a better way..she is emotionally active and apparently she can socialize better than the other "authistic" kids. If i'm not wrong, in my country, kids like these are called something like "kids with superior intelligence" and all of them can have problems like this.
but maybe i'm thinking like this because I didn't read the whole thing about her
