Ok, so let me answer a question I got in the comments before. It was a question about how I feel about hearing I am beautiful all the time.
I must say that hearing that is wonderful and I thank you all for saying that. I hope you mean the inner me too:=)
I also want to let you know that I get to hear those: she is fat, ugly, bad singer, potato sack dress etc equally much if not more... so I can say it really is good for me to hear the "nicer" words too now and then;=)
And I have never ever thought of myself as a beautiful woman, but I am working on it. And for me, I hope people love me for my inside more.
Thank you all of you that say the warming and nice words to me. Truly, I feel blessed for having you guys here reading and taking an interest in me and of course, Nightwish;=)

ReplyDeleteI met you at Brixton and it was like meeting a friend. I will always remember the fact that I handed you something to sign and you kept it for a moment before giving it back to me.. that was to make sure the ink was dry and wouldn't smudge :).. that wasn't just a kind thing by signing this but you put some 'thought' into it, it wasn't just some silly piece of paper to you, you understood it meant a lot to me and prob everything you do for your fans. You gave me a hug and it was so warm and not 'fake' at all. I think that was the best part of that day for me :)
You have shown on here and in your Nightwish career (and beyond) that you are a warm, caring and understanding person, that cannot be faked. I don't see you as a celebrity but as I friend foremost who just happens to have a beautiful smile .. sings like an angel and gets to play with a great bunch of men to some great music.

First time I saw you live was the gig at Bamberg and I have to say I was very surprised by your personallity. You are a very nice and warm-hearted person and I've taken you immediately into my heart. All of my friends too. You're so good that even my mum is loving Nightwish since you became the singer. So go on and don't listen to the people saying such bad things about you. They are only jealous!

ReplyDeleteI just had to comment on this. I really admire you for me so strong in front of all these people; to be quite honest, they are not worth your time or effort. Some people will never be pleased, and that is a fact!
Most important, Anette, is that you stay exactly as you want to be. I, and many others, love you for that anyway :) I do think you are quite beautiful, and even more so because you are *not* flawless - you're not, well, we call it "plastic" over here, which is being So perfect that you're clearly not real, and I love that in you. :) Truly an inspiration for girls everywhere. :D

ReplyDeleteYou know, just like everyone above has already said, you definitely shouldn't pay attention to all that bunch of crap some people say. All you have to focus on is the way YOU know you are and want yourself to be. Nothing else matters. People can be extremely rude or extremely flattering, but as long as you love yourself the way you are, everything will always be alright. Because one transmits what they feel.
On another note, you should know you really have many many supporters too! I'm sure you check the forum pretty often and there are people who truly look up to you and think you're an amazing person. And those who don't are probably extremely childish people who still can't get over Tarja and will never be able to, no matter who the replacement was.
So, Anette, once again, you truly are a special person, because you irradiate joy, positiveness and warmth. And no matter who tells you the opposite, you must know they're wrong.

I think like you said the inner beauty is more important. I mean serioulsy I don't want to sound cocky but i have the ability to make the guys heads turn but not always. Like when i wanna look amazing i do it for myself not for others. Most of the time i like sweats and other no so stylish outfits because if i want people to like me i want them to like me for my personality first. Thats what i look for in a person too. People can change there clothes all they want but changing who they are is much harder so why try you won't end up liking yourself. Anette you are beautiful inside and out. I know people who are really jealous of your looks that are my age and i know people who see your pics and can't even belieive how old you are because you just look so amazing.

Here is an tip I could share with you. A few years ago, I was really depressed because some people kept saying rude things to me, like I was fat, ugly, and so on. So I decided to buy a notebook and write down all the kind things people told me, with the date and person below. For example, one day my dad told me: "I'm so proud of you", I wrote it down. And when I am depressed and feeling blue and lonely, I read a few pages of my notebook and it's really working, I feel better instantly. Maybe it's something you should give a try ;)

You know - you've got a great job, you're so famous that even bands which had you as a singer before get famous, too; you're young beautiful woman, you have us, you have a super-nice boy called Seth, and this circumstance would be a happiness even without things I've listed above. i went to two of your shows in Paris and you were so great... i love singing but before i thought i'd never progress and, for example, reach higher notes... BUT ! thanks to you i believe in myself and i'm going forward because you showed me that it is possible to progress more and more each day... When I read those negative comments certain people make towards you, it reminds me of secondary school, a mark of how immature they are, not to mention bitter. Dear Anette, when I look for pictures of Nightwish concerts, I'm always eager to see what kind of clothes you chose. Because I love the fact that you feel free to wear what you like and that you're not trying to respect a so-called "metal code". You say that you are hearing bad words of you. I have heared too (bad words of you), BUT I think that they all are people, who like Tarja more and they are bitter and jealous that Nightwish have really good singer and Tarja isn´t invaluable (is this right word, I don´t know :D).

I've been lucky enough to experience how much time you give to fans and i think the fact that you were as you say "an ordinary person" for all those years before finding fame means that you are still the same nice, caring Swedish girl at heart and value friendship and support.
There will always be those that will never accept you and say nasty things, as they would have done whoever got Tarja's old job. As i've said to you before, there are a lot of newer Nightwish fans that you have brought to the band with the change of musical direction and Nightwish have never been so popular. As long as you feel the love among those that support Nightwish today there is no problem.

I think you are like a star in the sky. Hot inside and outside (in a good way!!).
Stars produce energy inside, then release energy that traverses the star's interior and then radiates into outer space. Lot of energy!

Anette. You're gorgeous. Fuck anyone who thinks otherwise; They're just too hateful, full of self-loathing and insensetive. to acknowledge it. And you're not so beautiful because of your looks (although you're totally hot (Your eyes are absolutely gorgeous!!!), though your hair must be pretty damaged from all of the coloring. It's not like I can talk though, ha ha ha. My hair is very fucked up and I'm damn sure that I need to stop dying it.). You're such a fantastic person from what I know of your personality. You acknowledge your flaws, which makes you so much more intelligent and worthy of admiration than most people. And you're so bright and happy, it's infectious live! You can be singing Higher Than Hope and be giving the song a ray of light, without losing the original meaning and intent of the song. It's very subtle, but that sunshine and warmth is there. Which is a huge accomplishment, I think.

By saying this you just proved your point. Being vain is not a good feature anyway and I think most people (and I mean the fans of Nightwish in that case) love you for what you are, the way you behave, sing and act on stage as well as your kindness towards the fans. This blog also proves that you would like to keep contact with your fans and share your good and bad days to some extent with us.
I never met you personally yet, maybe one day at a concert etc. but I really like your postive attitude, it radiates from you and is very contagious, just as your smile. You genuinely seem like a lovely person which I am sure you are in real as well.
As long as you believe in that there is no bad critic in the world that should weigh you down. Negative critism is often only used to make people feel bad from people who often lack self esteem themselves. Constructive critism is another thing but should never hurt.
