Good morning

Well, good morning to you all;=)

I took a little longer sleep today... I have such bad allergies at the moment and I had to take strong pills yesterday because of the headache so I didnt wake up. Today I called my allergy doctor to get an appointment for better medicines cause now it starts to get really bad. My eyes are totally red and no medicines work properly now. Its nice with summer but also for allergic people, a hard time...

Today I am gonna do my exercise soon and then to pick up my son who had a sleep-over at a friends house. Then check some things to the apartment. I need to be able to open the balcony door without the cats to get out, so some kinda net-door arrangement is needed.

Jenny wanted to find a little similar dress as the one I had in the last gig but little cheaper so I started searching the net and found these ones:

They are all from asos and the first one costs 89,32 Euro and the other one in the last 3 pictures cost 103,36 euros.

If you order over 75 pounds its also free shipping. This site has so many nice and good prices clothes. I love many of their dresses;=)

  2. Good morning Anette! =)
Thanks for your post, it's so nice and sweet that you give us some of your time to talk about clothes and other girl-things as well as more serious issues - I really love how you keep in touch with us! =)
I hope you get better soon with your allergy. Have you ever tried natural remedies instead of "chemical" medicines? I know when it gets really bad strong pills may be needed to get a quick relief, but in the long run natural remedies can be very effective to prevent allergies for the next years, and they're also much better for the body.
I can look for some suggestion for you if you are interested =)
Have a very nice day! =)
    Love and hugs,

  3. Hi Anette,

oh yes keeping the cats in can be a tough thing. You could try one of these sliding insect doors (that keep out flies) but I am not sure they want claw their way through it (I know mine would).

Maybe you could just make your balcony cat-proof by adding some sort of see-through net from the reiling to the wall, but it depends on your balcony of course. Check the local DIY store for some ideas or try a pet store, they sometimes have really good stuff or ideas.

Have fun today and I hope you feel better soon. I have hayfever, too and know what a pain in the neck in can be.

    Hugs,
    Katrin

  4. Allergies are really not fun :( I am almost dying when I have a bad allergy, and I wouldn't do anything that day, but you feel really lively even you have bad allergies!
Have a nice day! Hugs, aveaurora

  5. Hello, Anette!
I'm very sorry to hear you're not feeling good today. I really hope your allergy is going to pass soon, so that you can enjoy these beautiful summer days. Maybe it is because of an element from the nature, a plant or something, and going out only makes it worse. Just take good care of yourself.
    Get well soon! :)

  6. Good Moring hun, I hope you soon get sorted with some better medication for your allergies. I feel so sorry for everyone who gets bad at this time of year.

As for sorting out your balcony for the cats, that is a good idea. I can only open my upstairs windows a little even though it is so hot. The cats keep jumping up on the window and I am scared they will fall like one of my old cats did.

    That dress is stunning.

What exercises do you do at home? I am going doing some jogging on my rebounder (mini trampoline). I put on a music channel on tv and jog/bounce. I just hope there is some good music today.

I hope your son had lots of fun and I hope you have a good day :=).

    love and respect

  7. I also have a pollen allergy, but since I use contact lenses the allergy has vanished. So, maybe you could try this too.

Have a nice day, despite this really nasty and pesky allery.

Well, I am gonna sell some of the clothes I have worn in the beginning of our tour soon. I have changed my outfits since then so the goth-clothes will be gone from the wardrobe soon;=)

I exercise with different dvd´s. Pilates, carb killers, toning programmes. Its really good and it alternates the body muscles.

  11. I slept late - but out of sheer laziness, I fear. I was up late reading a trashy romance novel. A girl has to have her guilty pleasures, eh?!

I adore the first of those two dresses. In fact, I am thinking I must have it. but I am about to leave on a six week walking pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, and I doubt I will be the same clothing size as I am now so I'll wait to buy it!

A screen door is a good option - it keeps the cats in and the bugs out!

I'm sorry to hear your allergies are causing you problems - fingers crossed your doctor can find you a better medication to ease the symptoms. It must be so hard to sing!

Ooh, I was going to ask. You had hypnotherapy for your fear of loud, sudden noises - has it helped?

Also, I'm really enjoying the pictures of Helsingborg, and yesterday's evening harbour pics were beautiful.

  12. Good Morning Anette,

I am the same age as you and am suffering under asthma/allergies since I was a small child. Playing in the fields in summertime, doing sports or smoky rooms were always a disaster for me. Since 4 years I’m using a new medicament. It’s an inhaler, you take it just one time in the morning and one time in the evening. I would expect that it could help you for example with the smoke on stage. And I’m so happy now, because I can act as a ‘normal’ guy, running in the forest or joining the wildest moshpits on festivals without any constraints ;-). My life-quality is so much better now. If you haven’t tried it already and you are interested, you can have a look on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbicort.

Thank you so much for the amazing moments when I’m listening to your voice :-). You make me happy!

    Cheers from sunny Munich,
    Marco

P.S. "Tack sa mycket Sverige" (German Football juniors were showing that to the audience after winning the European Championchip im Malmö yesterday) :-D

  13. Ooooh, pretty dresses! :-D

I've never been happy with the idea of ordering clothes online, though... Most things I try on in shops look great on the hanger, but not on me - or they look so-so on the hanger, but great on me! There's just to way to predict how things will translate to me... And it would be a pain to order things online but keep having to send them back. :-( But, if I was gonna start somewhere, it would be with the shop you've linked. Such nice things, and not too expensive either! :-D

  14. Me again, these are the nets I was talking about:

    http://www.zooplus.ie/shop/cats/cat_flaps_nets/cat_nets

It is maybe not the most beautiful solution but it is the most practical one, this way you can even leave the balcony door open without having to watch out for them and the kitties can also lie safely in the sun.

  15. I feel your pain, my allergies are awful in summer too :(
There's a bit of an "urban myth" that if you eat honey from the area you live in every day, it acts as a vaccine against the pollen and makes some of the symptoms a little easier. I don't know if that's true though, since I've never tried it, and I guess it doesn't work when you're travelling around a lot :( Hope you feel better soon xxx

I'm so so so so so sorry for your allergy!

  17. Good morning Anette!

I woke up late today as well! I prefer to wake up little earlier because I feel tired later during the day.

I'm sorry to hear that allergies are giving you a hard time! My cousin has heavy allergies and I know how hard Spring and Summer is for her. Hopefully your doctor will be able to prescribe you better medication!

I like the first dress the best. It has a simple yet elegant design! Lovely black :D

Good luck with finding the net for cats! I think it's a very good idea to buy one. I remember my neighbor's cat falling out of the balcony on the 4th floor. She survived but was very very badly injured :s

    Anyway.. Bad thoughts aside!

    Have a beautiful day today!

  18. Good morning, Anette.

I'm sorry to hear that your allergies are acting up. My dad, I found out yesterday, hurt his foot pretty bad at work and has been ordered to elevate it for the next 2 weeks(at least his boss is paying him a regular paycheck)

I shall take a peek at the dress links you provided so kindly, but I'm curious, where do you get all those awesome tights? I have a MAJOR concert coming up September 29th, and would LOVE to know where you got the 'bit*h' tights. I do love the clothes that you wear, dunno if the websites you shop at have my sizes(US 16)

    Have a lovely day,

  20. Good afternoon, Anette sweety! :) I feel with you, I have pollen allergy too, and now I don't have good medicines, I just get so tired after taking them... I could sleep all day long. :P Of course we don't have that much pollen up here, but right now it's quite bad. I love summer, but autumn is best! ;) Before the cold weather and rain come! - I loved the other dress, with 3 pictures! Yes, I could wear that... :)

  21. Hi Anette
I was wandering: Where are you going to sell your old clothes? I'm not always into the goth-clothes, but maybe I'll find something nice in there. It depends. I really looove corsets, and I thought you have been wearing some (or something that looks like one)?
I really like this one: http://metalinc.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/nightwish-anette_olzon.jpg
And i looove this dress: http://fc07.deviantart.com/fs26/f/2008/150/6/6/Anette_Olzon_by_S_Sabina.jpg
And it looks like they are my size :)
I prefer your new style, so if you ever want to sell some of those clothes?

And I also wanted to send you this:
This is a video of a piece of 'Ghost Love Score' at Graspop: (Maybe you would like to see it.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwR65pToXkQ
But the sound isn't that great..

  25. Hi Anette,

It's crappy time for allergies indeed. I'm struggling with my astma, since I have a horse, and when I'm brushing him, or riding, I'm coughing and sneezing all the time because of the sand that is everywhere, and all his hairs -_-' And yesterday I had a headache, not nice, especially not when the weather is so great and you just wanna be outside and do everything you can =)

Hope your allergy will get better during the summer!

    xx,
    Nouky

I hope you get something (that even helps) to your allergy. Summertime is really nice but having allergies is not.:/

    Have a good day! =)

  27. Just one more thing..=P
I think it would look great if you combined corsettes with ladylike dresses and shirts, actually like you have sometimes done...It looks rocky and cool, without looking too gothic.. =)
Your outfit on ruisrock last year was a good example of this style, though it was a black west that you had over the colorful dress and not corsette, but it gave a perfect edge to the outfit. =)
But ok, now Im gonna stop spamming this post and get ready to leave for work..

  28. Hi Anette,
thank you for posting the wonderful dresses!!
    Love that kind of stile.
Anette, I saw the show in March in Lingen / Germany and I liked your shirt very much. Would you tell me, where you got it from??
    Hope, your allergy is better!

  29. Yes I agree with Sylvia, the T-Shirt from Lingen also caught my eye, it was a black one with printing in the front and an open or split back which revealed your tattoo, it was very cool. Where is it from if we may ask? =)

  31. Morning Anette,

About the cat thing, we have dogs
and a cat and since the cat likes to go
    after our youngest dog,
whenever I let my cat out of the bedroom
we put a gate up in front of my mum's
bedroom and put the puppy in there-

    http://daddytypes.com/archive/madveg_diy_baby_gate.jpg

    It is usually for babies,
but we use it for our dogs and cat and
they don't try to get over it or anything.

I read one of your comments-
Why are you selling you goth clothes?
Or is that just the main type
of clothes you wore in the beginning?

    http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj317/GossipBabe411/nucence/nightwishanetteolzonviioy0.jpg

    Because if you haven't yet
and are wanting to sell that dress,
I would look to buying it from you,
    because that is the
coolest outfit I have ever seen!

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  32. OOooh nice dresses you found there :)
Yeah allergies suck :( i have asthma and it always gets worse during the summer.
hope you have a nice day!

  33. Thanks to you, I found my dress to the wedding :D

There'll be some golden and yellow decorations in my friends wedding dress and I was hoping to find yellow or basic black dress for myself.

    http://www.asos.com/Ted-Baker/Ted-Baker-Wrap-And-Drape-Effect-Mini-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=583686&cid=5186&Rf-800=55.000,100.000&sh=0&pge=5&pgesize=20&sort=2&clr=Black

Luckily my friends wedding dress is big and girliegirlie so I can also wear interesting dress without taking too much attention from the bride :) Now some golden accossories and I'm ready!

It's a bit inspired by your beautiful dress/dresses and quite cheap too. I was ready to put ~100€ to my maid of honor dress if I have to but now I can put a bit more money to the shoes ;)

So thank you very much for that tip!! :)

  34. Hi there :)i have bad allergies too :/
For my eyes when they scratch me or burn me i put eye drops it's that one : http://www.cooper.fr/produits/photos/201.jpg
At the beginning it burns a little but after some minutes it works well :)
With that i take a pill like you once by day (since 10 years actually xD)
To finish once a month my doctor makes me a puncture ( since 10 days almost as well xD).
And with all this i'm good :)
But for you i think you just need some pills and a good eye drops.

    Take care <3
