I am in shock!!!

I just woke up and got the news that one of the biggest artists have passed away...

Michael Jackson

He was truly one of the biggest icons and for me, I must say he has been a big inspiration. I listened to Michael when I was a teenager and I loved everything he did. I cant understand that he already is gone from this world...

Today will be a sad sad day for me...and for many many others. My thoughts are with his children and closest family.

Rest in piece Michael, I love you.

  1. Good Morning Anette, I know, I saw the news this morning as well and could not believe what I heard. Yesterday was not a good day. Two lovely people passed away and both much too young too die.
    Beautiful Farrah Fawcett as well.
    R.I.P. both of you.

  5. Michael's leaving has been a great loss to the whole world. It's definitely unbelievable to admit he passed away! =( I'm so sad with this sudden and shocking happening and also with a great friend of mine who has a huge collection of almost all kind of stuff from his career (and from Jackson Five/ Janet Jackson too!). I hope she doesn't suffer more...

Oh Nettan, could you sing a MJ song and upload here as a videoblog? Surely my friend would you like to see you doing that! ^^

    See you later and
    Hugs from Brazil!

  6. I am not a fan of him but i also have a strange feeling, somehow a big part of the 80's has died. Older generation will know what i mean...

Honestly i believe Michaels soul died long ago, so i am not too surprised.

    R.I.P Michael

  7. I heard yesterday afternoon via a messageboard.

I'm saddened to hear about his death and it makes me worry about my own father, who's suffering from COPD, and will be 51 Saturday....

I guess in my mind, I always expected Michael to live forever, as strange as that may sound, or seem.

He will most certainly be missed. I may not have liked his music... with the exception of "Beat It" .... fun memories from that song.

And then there was the other person that died, Miss Farrah Fawcett, such a beautiful woman, she will be another person that's missed, at least for me.

I hope that you arent too sad today, Anette.

    Much love and respect,
    Falyssa from Pelican Bay, TX

  15. I heard about this late last night and was in shock.. woke up and I'm still in shock. I was never into Michael's music but I could still see the genious behind the 'glove'. He was a true artist and was loved by many many people. Music is a global language.. go into the deepest depths of the jungle and people will know of Michael Jackson, this is a true testiment to the man because during the early years of his career.. black popstars where still a rarety and yet he went on to become as famous as Elvis.

My heart goes out to his family and friends and to all those poor people who waited years to see their idol and booked their tickets to see him and now this has happened. :=(.

Sleep well Michael and at least the press
    can't torment you now.

    love and respect

  19. That's really shocking indeed, didn't know it yet.. I knew he wasn't doing so good, but still, such a famous person, you don't expect them to die.. =( He's a legend, it feels like, how CAN he die.. (Altough I've always thought he looks a bit scary =$ )
BTW, you posted right the song of him I love the most =)

  20. Yes, that was quite a shock for me too! I was up very late this night and thought I'd take a last look to some websites before I go to bed, and then I saw on the 1. side of that blog-site I use, that someone had written MJ is dead. And when I clicked on it, there was a weird drawing of him, and I thought first it all was a very very bad joke! But so it wasn't... :´(
Ok, I've been making some thoughts about how on earth he could manage such a comeback that was planned. Anyway, I couldn't imagine anything like this... Rest in peace, MJ!

  24. Hi there :)
I'm shocked too... i heard that yesterday night and i spend my night until 2:00 pm just watching tv talking about him.
About 23h yesterday night we learned he did a heart attack and some minutes later he was dead... i was sooo shocked i would never imagined i could be so shocked.
Though i'm not a big fan of him, this is a little part of my childhood and one of the big star for me.
I didn't sleep well yesterday night and i'm still shocked.
    May he rests in peace.

    Have a nice day :)
    Take care <3

  26. Good Morning Anette!

Yeah, I've seen that bad news yesterday at night...still can't believe, he was, hell he IS a person who's unforgettable and he is really a King. The most devoted and the most absorbed in music man I've ever seen... I remember watching his great videos (not clips but real films!!) all my childhood... remember laughing and willing to understand how he's doing all his moves and etc... Those videos (Dirty Diana, Black or White, Remember the Time and many more) will surely rest in history as ones of the most tremendous ..

    can't believe..
    May he rest in piece.
Little be little mankind stays without great personalities...
My thoughts are with him and his family and all the people who was into his creativity...

    Hugs,
    Lerren

  27. Good morning Anette..

Indeed it's a very sad day today.

I still can't believe that MJ is gone, I'm in a state of shock and his death seems so surrealistic.

I watched CNN news LIVE until 4 am covering his death. Celine Dion, Cher and others were on Larry King and expressing their thoughts on death of Michael Jackson.

I think it's worth of mentioning Farah Fawcett who passed away yesterday day too..

May they finally rest in peace..

  30. Yes, it's a big loss for the music world. He'll be remembered.

But I feel a bit awfull and selfish.. everyone around me talks about Micheal and how sad it is.... and all I can think about is Heath Ledger. :(

    Dear Anette,
    A very nice weekend!

  34. I heard it this morning at school, I was really like "what!? :O "I still can't believe it, like others said, it's like he would never die...I did knew he was doing quiet bad, but still.. :(

At school before the big tests started this morning we all put on the school board "RIP Michael" and we drew some things around it, it had something funny because a lot of classes had done it :P But still, I don't think he will be ever forgotten, he will live forever :)

    RIP Michael..

  35. Aww, you saw that this morning?

    I know...I found out yesterday,
which I guess he had died at like, 12:30
    in the morning-
but they decided to keep it quiet
    for awhile...no idea why.
    Heart attack...it's really sad.
And he was just about to go on a comeback tour.
    He's just one of those
people that it's hard to imagine dying...
    RIP King of Pop

Did you hear about Farrah Fawcett?
Yesterday, of cancer, she died too...
    it's really depressng...

  39. this is very depressing for me. I learned about his passing on a few minutes after it happened, it was midnight here. June 25th is also my birthday, so it was even sadder. I don't even know what to think. When you die Anette, I'll be just as crushed, honestly. Musicians should never die.
it's told that their music keeps them alive, but it feels different.. like listening to Elvis Presley's music.. it's ust so.. sad. :(
don't leave us anytime soon, Anette! or anybody else in Nightwish!

  51. I grew up on the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis. I always thought highly of Michael Jackson until the very end (and I still do). It feels like I lost a family member and I have been fatigued for the past 2 1/2 days. My birthday is tomorrow and I hope I can celebrate it along with Michael's life. I have been shaken up.

Thank you anette for remembering him in your blog.
