Wedding singer...

Ok... so before Nightwish I took a lot of jobs during the summer time as a wedding singer. Very nice job since I love weddings...;=) And also usually a good little money to sing 1-3 songs.

So when I read about this years Eurovision song contest winner from Norway, Alexander Rybak yesterday in the newspaper, where it says he was offered to be paid 50 000 euros for singing his winning song 4 times at a couples wedding I was amazed.. That´s a hell lot of more money than I have ever ever gotten as a wedding singer...;=)

And I think: If just the wedding singer would be paid 50 000 euro, how much would her dress cost, the cake, the band playing, the ride from church...hmmm...I dont think I wanna know..;=)

But the story also said that Alexander didnt have the time to take the offer...but I guess there will be more like that for him to come;=)

  5. Hi again ^^
Oh 50 000 euros? well, some people don't know how to spend their money i guess xD
(But after all it's not that much since i read 3 days ago that susan boyle asks for 9200 euros by minute so 100 000 euro for just 10 minutes of songs xD of course it's not an offer from people but i mean.. wooww i wanna be a singer too mdrrrr).
I guess this world is crazy mdrrr xD

Have a nice day again and take care <3

  6. wow I knew that sometimes wedding can be veery expensive thing but to pay that much for hearing Fairytale... well, everyone has his own preferences, I think)
as for me I would like more to hear something not that popular and played to death but smth more touching and more referring to a couple) e.g. The Blood, The Wine, The Roses by My Dying Bride XDDDD I'm joking of course but the song itself is very beautiful and gorgeous)

    Happy MidsummerDay, dear!

    Hugs, Lerren

  7. Waow 50.000 euros... Next week I will take care of children for a wedding, and I won't earn more than 50 euros for the evening... But I'm happy to earn 50 euros :-)
Have a very nice day !

  8. IMHO.. it's not how much of a showy wedding you can put on, It's the commitment behind the act. My wedding was as cheap as I could make it and everyone had just as much fun as if it had cost 50,000 for the whole thing. I was happy, everyone else was happy and I'm still happily married :=).

If she had that much money I wonder what her dress will look like ;=).

    love and respect

  11. I loved the song "Fairytale" as soon as I heard it, so I'm not surprise that some people are willing to pay a lot of money for his song :)
Besides, it's for their weddings, so they want it perfect :)

    Kisses,
    Maria.

  13. CONFESSION :) - When I first heard Nightwish , it was the song 'Eva' - I LOVED LOVED LOVED (x1000) your voice so much , Anette, i did some research about NW to learn about the band memebers and stuff , when I saw that you used to sing @ weddings I was like 'She is SINGING at my wedding no matter what I have to do or how much money I have to pay' Of course, I'm only 16 and don't plan on getting married anytime soon , but 5 years down the road.... ?

  14. Something tells me that you will be offered more money to sing at wedding in the years to come ^.^ I know I would not mind having you sing at my wedding but that's a few years away still hehe. Have you ever watched "Sweet 16" on MTV by chance? It's a bit hard to be shocked by extreme money spending after watching that show.

  15. Hi, Anette \o/

    Wow, he earns a lot!

If I were a rich man, I would pay the double to have you singing at my wedding.
But, you would sing 20 songs or more, ok? hehehe

Greetings from a fan from Brazil.
    Take care.
