Gotland or Astrid

So I have 1,5 week in the beginning of august when we dont have any gigs and I feel that I want to do something fun then. I have never been to the island Gotland here in Sweden so that could really be something to visit. They have a well-known middle-age week theme at that same time so I really need to check if there is any hotels etc to go there then;=)

But then there is also the other alternative that I wanna go again and that is to Astrid Lindgrens värld. Its the place where all the figures from our famous author lives. Pippi Longstocking, Emil etc. And I have been there 3 times and its a great place for both adults and children;=)

Hard decisions...

  1. Hmm that would be pretty difficult at least for me to decide :D I think that middle-age week in Gotland would be worth of seeing but on the other hand I love Astrid Lingrens books especially Pippi Långstrump (or how we say, Peppi Pitkätossu).

I think Astrid Lingrens värld would be my pick

  2. If you have been 3 times to Astrid Lindgrens värld already the choice seems simple: try something new and go to Gotland! =)

  3. Gotland! It's so nice there. I was there only one time (in Visby). And middle-age week sounds good. It always is fun to see people in costumes and I like to wear it too. Reenactment is a very popular thing.

  4. Well, I'd go to Gotland! The middle-aged week sounds good to me at least, it's something that fascinates me =).
If you've been to Astrid Lindgrens värld already, maybe you should try something new.

  6. Hmm... maybe try both? If you have a week-and-a-half, you could do both, unless they are too far apart to manage.

    That would be my suggestion.

Sorry if that didn't help :)

Always a pleasure to check the page and see that you've posted another blog entry for us to read and/or comment on. Something I was going to recommened earlier, sinc eyou said in previous blog that you wrote as a hobby, maybe channel some of that creative energy into that. That's what I've been doing for like the past month, and have written 131 pages on Word Processor that's strictly a fan fic, but one that I enjoy working on, and of course, reading the comments that others have posted after reading whatever i'd written that day.

    That was sorta selfish, sorry...*hides*
    Have a pleasant day,

  10. Oj, Peppi Pitkätossu! :D

I would choose the Gotland, perhaps, if you haven't been there before.
Then again, I'm not that keen on history, so maybe it would be better to go to Astrid world.

    I don't know :D

  11. I would have to say Gotland. Gotland would be somewhere new for you to explore and the middle ages week sounds amazing :=). I am a huge history fan and to see living history would be something unique to see and it would help your son with his history classes at school I bet, so your not only having fun but learning something at the same time.

Well you could always do both.
Go to Gotland sometime during middle ages
week, plus that would be new and fun.

    Then when you feel you've
spent enough days there go to Astrid.

  24. I liked Gotland, I am fascinated by medieval themes and seems to be a beautiful place. And you already been 3 times to Astrid will be a new experience for you. So my suggestion is Gotland. I hope I helped.
