My special mission;=)

So....you all are curious about what I have done in Stockholm today and now I am home again and of course I will tell you;=)

My day started at 05.00, waking up and going to the airport. Early and sooo tired... but excited! My flight arrived in Stockholm Arlanda at 07.50 and I took the train in to the city centre. I read the new Elle UK and had a tea.

Then I took the metro to the south part of Stockholm and since I had some time before the meeting, I took a tea at Waynes coffee. When I was sitting there, a very well-known face came in. It was the famous swedish actress Pernilla August. She is mostly known internationally for being Anakins mum in Star wars;=)

Then at 10.30 I walked into an office where this guy has his practise:

His name is Fredrik Praesto and he is a hypnotiser;=) I have seen him hypnotise people in TV and heard much good about him so I had booked an appointment to get hypnostised and hopefully get less scared of my biggest phobia: thunder, bombs, balloons...
The whole session took one hour and it was cool;=) I have been hypnotised before but this was different and much deeper. I remember everything and was fully aware of what he did but what he has done now is re-programming my brain to stop acting with the reptile-brain and instead use the logic side of the brain. If it will work I dont know until next time I hear a big bang;=) But I do hope I will be much much better since that is all I really want;=)

  1. Hi Anette!

Oh, good luck - I hope it works. I love thunder, but sudden bangs, like at rock concerts, make me jump too. And I used to be in the army ;)

My day was much less exciting - http://anna-disgrace.livejournal.com/54095.html I bought a new top!

It"s great that you look for this kind of hypnosis. I've done some trainings based on this technique and they were really awsome for me.

I'm glad you had a nice, exciting day in Stockholm. I've been there once, and I liked it very much. I definitely want to go back one day, because we only stayed there two nights before we took the overnight train to Oslo.

I've never been hypnotized, but it seems cool. I hope it really helped you get over your fear!!

I'm glad you got to meed a famous actress! Did she recognize you too?

  16. Ooh, I hope it works out for you.

I don't know what I'd do if someone from Star Wars walked in. Probably spend about half an hour trying to work out where I'd seen them before, knowing me.

  26. Hi Anette
That's funny, I actually like balloons and don't mind big bangs very much. This weekend I worked for school with some thunder in the background and I didn't mind it at all. It was kinda nice to studie with it ;)
BUT my BIGGEST fear are spiders and needles.
I am soooo cared of spiders, I hate the big wants and actually want them all dead.... And yes my other fear is very irritating. Whenever I got to have an injection or have to give blood or something I totally freak out and if I don't lie down I faint. It's very hard to control it! I know it is all in my head, but still I start to inhale very heavy and can not control myself. Even after all those years, I still can not control it, hate it!
    Still, I have 6 earrings and a belly-button piercing. I have fainted a lot for those ;)
I wanted to go for a tattoo, but I don't think I would survive that ;)

Sooo, I would definitely want to meet that guy to release myself from my fear!!!

  27. Hi hun. I hate bangs so I know how upsetting they can be. It's a good job your not in the Uk today as we have been having lots of thunder storms. We have a well known hypnotist called Paul McKenna who has worked wonders. I tried his audio discs and video's and now I feel I can handle more stress than before. I have also been following his diet plan/advice and it was very good and interesting.

I hope you continue your hpnotherapy. You will have to update us on if you think it's working or not.

    love and respect.

  28. Love how you met Pernilla .. I must admit I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan (who isn't, really? some people just hide it ;)
How does hypnosis really work? This isn't really a question for Anette , just anyone in general ... I must say I'm not a big fan of the idea of letting someone else play with my brain :S However Anette, I hope your fear of big bangs is gone ;) It would make the concerts a lot more enjoyable :)

  30. Hi, Anette.

That is really cool! Actually, I don't believe in hypnotism at all, since I don't know how things work and what is real or not on TV.
But, I would really like to be hypnotised one day. It would be a nice experience.

I hope you get good results.
I like thunders, but really afraid to get my appliances burned haha.

Greetings from a fan from Brazil.
    Take care.

  31. It sounds like you had a good time! I hope that the hypnosis helps. I've only seen it done a couple of times for show and that was pretty hilarious but I've heard that it can help with more serious stuff as well.

I'm the same way, though. Things like thunder and bombs and balloons popping get me jumpy. I don't know why exactly, my boyfriend thinks it's kinda silly. Maybe if the hypnosis works for you I might try it as well ^.^

    All the best,
    Yelena~

  32. Anette,
Speaking of loud noises, you crossed my mind today.
I saw "Drag Me to Hell" and I rember you blogging about how you wanted to see it. I wanted to know if you've seen it yet? The Music is so great in it. Me being the violinist you met in Houston, I just loved the Gypse Violin in it. This reminded me because there were lots of loud noises and bangs, as well!
It scared the hell out of me!
    Hope all is well!

  34. Hi Anette,

It sounds so very interesting be hypnotize!
I'll must try to too for my greatest phobia: snakes. I'm very very afraid of them and I cannot watch the documentaries because of that. I have every time the sensation to have it behind my back.

Hope that all your afraid will pass away!

    Hugs and kiss
