I have never been to Sweden rock myself but I have heard so many years that this is a great festival. And this year PAIN is gonna play there. They play tomorrow around 12.00 so if you´re there I suggest you go and see them;=)

Another band that I would have seen if I went (and they didn´t use those damn big sound bombs which I hate, grr, is IN FLAMES

I love the band but last year when they played Metaltown after us, I almost died of the big bombs. I am sorry all you sound bomb lovers out there, but for me, I hate them. I can´t see the meaning with them since the visual effect can be there without bombs. We use pyros but no sounds and I think it looks good without them;=)

I would also love to go and see Kamelot. I have just started to listen to them and I love it. The Ghost Opera album is great!
This song is so good:

Hi Anette! I like a bit of Kamelot too, and of course Pain.. Next year I will almost surely be there to see the festival.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing.. Love you to death is a great song!
Oh, I love these summer festivals.. too bad I ain't living in europe anymore :s buut if you go, i hope you have a lot of fun! ;)
ReplyDeletekamelot and pain are cool bands, i really like them.. but I have never heard In Flames, I'll check their sound :)
I've forgotten to ask one thing.. what are sound bombs?
ReplyDeleteHi Marco;=)
ReplyDeleteWell, I didnt know what it was before entering Nightwish either, hihi, so good question. It´s pyros with a bigger sound effect on them. They can be so loud that the venue feels like it rises from the ground...;=( Some people love them but I for one don´t;=)
Take care!
Anette
Oh sure I'd be there if I wasn't so far away =(. I love Summer Festivals!
ReplyDeleteI became a Pain fan after seeing them live in Porto, before Nightwish's gig ;).
About In Flames, the name is somewhat familiar to me but I can't remember ... and Kamelot is a great band. 'Love You To Death' is a good song', love the melody and the lyrics =).
Good night and sleep tight,
Barbara
Hi Anette =)
ReplyDeleteKamelot and Pain are very nice bands. I like them so much ;)
Very good video =D
Have a good night
XOXO ;*

ReplyDeleteHahaha Nice! Kamelot is a very good band, I particullary love the song that Simone sings with them, The Haunting. Festivals seem so great but I've never went to one and I like Pain too, but it's a kind of new to me. I've been listening to them recently.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Tatiana.
Hey Anette!
ReplyDeleteI have heard so well about these bands... Pain I already know and like. :)
I always hear nice words from In Flames, though I only listened to one song in Guitar Hero. :) I'll give them a listen if I can, and check these sound bombs in Youtube.
And coincidently, I've just recently been listening to Kamelot too! I've been listening to the Ghost Opera album, it's great, like Roy Khan's voice. Have you already listened to Tha Haunting, from their The Black Halo album? I've read you're a fan of Simone Simons, and she sings in that one. I also like that song a lot.
Wish you all the best!
Hugs from Brazil
Hello :)
ReplyDeleteI have a question...
What you think the presentation of susan boyle?
hugs
Ashame I can't go :(
ReplyDeletePain are just amazing, brought all their cds :D
Mot heared kamelot.
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteKamelot are amazing! Saw them 10 days after Nightwish, and again was in the front row! Khan is so awesome live, just like you guys are, and he does this cool screaming thing with the crowd...and I almost got to shake his hand but it was too far to the stage!!
But if you get the chance, see them live. Album is great, but live is incredible.
Have a nice evening!

ReplyDeleteWhere can i buy CDs form your old band Alyson Avenue??
I like the songs
I came here again to ask the same thing that Cony asked :P
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the albuns would be re-released in the end of May.. but I didn't read anything anymore about it.. is it outr already?
Hey Nettie! Discovering new music is always loads of fun :D
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of Kamelot - if you don't already have it, I REALLY recommend the album The Black Halo. It's definitely my favourite of their's :)
Can't wait to hear more from you, take care x
I plan on moving to Sweden or Finland when I'm a bit older, (im 15 now) so i can go to all of these concerts! Sad to say there aren't too many great bands from the US and it's hard to wait for bands like Nightwish or even Kamelot to come close. (Even though I saw you twice on your DPP tour) ;=)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your new albumn!!!! WOO!
-Morgan of Kansas, USA
Hi there! ^^ I'm actually listening to Kamelot right now, Roy Khan's voice is so... *.* I can't find an appropiate word but I think you got me =P
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to ask you if there is any kind of sweden tradition or custom you like to follow. Related to food, an historic holiday, etc.
Well, that's all =) I need to drink something hot now, it's freezing here *.*
Hope you have a good night!
Hugs,
Paz.
Dear Anette, these bands are great, specially Kamelot. I do suggest the The Black Halo and Karma albuns. The DVD One Cold Winter's Night is very good too.
ReplyDeleteHi Anette. How are you?
ReplyDeleteIt's great to know that you like Kamelot and that you go to see the shows of other bands in Festivals.
Stratovarius, Nightwish and Kamelot are my favorite bands. And I'm a little bit jealous of the people that will have the opportunity to see in the Sauna Open Air the three band play the same day and one after the other...
The Best wishes,
Kisses and Hugs
from Chile.
Nice tastes Anette!!
ReplyDeleteLOL Kamelot is from Florida, USA, and when I found that out, I was so surprised. Usually all the good music comes from Europe.
ReplyDeleteHi there again and again xD
ReplyDeleteI love Pain! i already saw them on stage two times ( before Nightwish's gigs) and i like so much Peter ^^ he is such charismatic personn and his voice is very good!
For Kamelot, i heard it some times ago but i think that I discover them in the same time as you ^^ and you're right this song is good :)
Take care and thanks again to take time for your fans <3
Hallo, Anette!
ReplyDeleteKamelot are amazing! I had the chance to see them live in Mokena, IL (USA) last year. I traveled 8 hours to see them, and it was definitely worth it. My favorite album of of theirs is "The Black Halo." It's great to hear that you're a fan...it would be great if you collaborated with them in the future! That would make a wonderful duet :).
Hey Anette! Definitely agree that Pain rock after seeing them before Nighwish in Paris on both nights (made it to the Monkey Business video :D) even though me and my friend spent half the night attempting to work out whether Johan was hot or not behind the hair (we decided a definite yes) Shame I can't make it all the way to Sweden! Also agree about the sound bombs, great to hear it's not just wimps like me who get freaked out by that! Keep up your amazing work xxx
ReplyDeleteI bought "Cynic Paradise" (PAIN) recently just because of "Follow Me".
ReplyDeleteBut I must say that the band is so good.
Greetings from a fan from Brazil.
Take care.
Fábio
Kamelot is one of my favorite bands and they are going to be at the Sauna Open Air Festival the next day, so try to catch their show if you can. I recommend you watch One Cold Winters Night..... amazing show!
ReplyDeleteTake really good care, dear Anette
Hugs from extremely hot and sunny Puerto Rico
Zamarie
That's great! PAIN are awesome! But not awesome as you and the guys!
ReplyDeleteToo bad I can not go :(
It is too far away.
♥Take Care♥
Love
Ena
Hello Anette, so you're an In Flames fan? What is your favorite album by them? Are you into any other "Gothenburg" Metal bands? Have a good day. =]
ReplyDeleteDear Anette, i hope you enjoy the festival! Many kisses
Dear Anette,
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy the festival!
I'm bvery happy that you like Kamolot: they are fantastic and I love too!
Kiss

For me sound bombs are Ok, but only in beginning or in the end of the show. When you use them like KISS all the time it comes little bit boring.
ReplyDeleteSince last year on W.O.A. I hate sound bombs too. I was standing direct in front of the stage waiting for Nightwish gig and I don't know what the bands name was but they used sound bombs and unfortunately I had forgotten my earplugs. It was so loud.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Kamelot last year on Wacken Open Air and since this time I loved them. The music is so good. And live they are so wicked.
And I love PAIN too. See them three times live before Nightwish's gig.
Enjoy the festival, but take care :-)
indeed..Kamelot is an amazing band..all of their songs are so good.. and especially Love you to Death..it is so meaningfull..
ReplyDeleteYeah! You listen Kamelot too! I listen it just now :) I´am started listen them just about few days ago. I heared their gig last years Ankkarock, when we were waiting Sonata Arctica (so I didn´t saw Kamelot, only heared) and then I thought that it´s good music, but I didn´t to start listen it. Now before Sauna Open Air I decided to listen it newly and this is REALLY GOOD! :) Nice to see them in Sauna too, and NIGHTWISH and YOU of course! :)
ReplyDeleteAnette, we can go the Swenden Rock together one day, ok? My parents don't allow me to come alone :(
ReplyDeleteHi again,
ReplyDeletejust looking at the running order and see that Volbeat is playing there too. They are very very good. The singer has such an extraordinary voice. This is my recommendation. I want to go there too but unfortunately I have to go to university :-(
Wish you the best and lots of fun at the festival.
I'd love to go and see PAIN again, but I'm in the wrong country and I'd have no-one to go with :( I saw them with Indica and Nightwish at Brixton in March, it was great :D
ReplyDeleteHei Anette
ReplyDeleteI just love Pain <3 I saw them 2 times live (of course as the opening act of Nigthwish ;)) and I just fell in love with Pain they are so cool.
And Kamelot is really cool, i didn't know them before ;)
lyl <3
Having good music taste... I think every Swedish people have to proud of In Flames... they're sooo good. Big Hep! =D
ReplyDelete'Love you to Death' is my favourite song=)
