Sweden rock festival this weekend;=)

I have never been to Sweden rock myself but I have heard so many years that this is a great festival. And this year PAIN is gonna play there. They play tomorrow around 12.00 so if you´re there I suggest you go and see them;=)

Another band that I would have seen if I went (and they didn´t use those damn big sound bombs which I hate, grr, is IN FLAMES

I love the band but last year when they played Metaltown after us, I almost died of the big bombs. I am sorry all you sound bomb lovers out there, but for me, I hate them. I can´t see the meaning with them since the visual effect can be there without bombs. We use pyros but no sounds and I think it looks good without them;=)

I would also love to go and see Kamelot. I have just started to listen to them and I love it. The Ghost Opera album is great!

This song is so good:

  4. Hi Marco;=)
Well, I didnt know what it was before entering Nightwish either, hihi, so good question. It´s pyros with a bigger sound effect on them. They can be so loud that the venue feels like it rises from the ground...;=( Some people love them but I for one don´t;=)
    Take care!

  5. Oh sure I'd be there if I wasn't so far away =(. I love Summer Festivals!
I became a Pain fan after seeing them live in Porto, before Nightwish's gig ;).
About In Flames, the name is somewhat familiar to me but I can't remember ... and Kamelot is a great band. 'Love You To Death' is a good song', love the melody and the lyrics =).

    Good night and sleep tight,
    Barbara

  8. Hahaha Nice! Kamelot is a very good band, I particullary love the song that Simone sings with them, The Haunting. Festivals seem so great but I've never went to one and I like Pain too, but it's a kind of new to me. I've been listening to them recently.

    Kisses,
    Tatiana.

  9. Hey Anette!
I have heard so well about these bands... Pain I already know and like. :)
I always hear nice words from In Flames, though I only listened to one song in Guitar Hero. :) I'll give them a listen if I can, and check these sound bombs in Youtube.
And coincidently, I've just recently been listening to Kamelot too! I've been listening to the Ghost Opera album, it's great, like Roy Khan's voice. Have you already listened to Tha Haunting, from their The Black Halo album? I've read you're a fan of Simone Simons, and she sings in that one. I also like that song a lot.

    Wish you all the best!

  12. Hi Anette!

Kamelot are amazing! Saw them 10 days after Nightwish, and again was in the front row! Khan is so awesome live, just like you guys are, and he does this cool screaming thing with the crowd...and I almost got to shake his hand but it was too far to the stage!!

But if you get the chance, see them live. Album is great, but live is incredible.

    Have a nice evening!

  16. Hey Nettie! Discovering new music is always loads of fun :D
On the subject of Kamelot - if you don't already have it, I REALLY recommend the album The Black Halo. It's definitely my favourite of their's :)

Can't wait to hear more from you, take care x

  17. I plan on moving to Sweden or Finland when I'm a bit older, (im 15 now) so i can go to all of these concerts! Sad to say there aren't too many great bands from the US and it's hard to wait for bands like Nightwish or even Kamelot to come close. (Even though I saw you twice on your DPP tour) ;=)
Can't wait for your new albumn!!!! WOO!

  18. Hi there! ^^ I'm actually listening to Kamelot right now, Roy Khan's voice is so... *.* I can't find an appropiate word but I think you got me =P

I also wanted to ask you if there is any kind of sweden tradition or custom you like to follow. Related to food, an historic holiday, etc.

Well, that's all =) I need to drink something hot now, it's freezing here *.*

Hope you have a good night!
    Hugs,
    Paz.

  19. Dear Anette, these bands are great, specially Kamelot. I do suggest the The Black Halo and Karma albuns. The DVD One Cold Winter's Night is very good too.

  20. Hi Anette. How are you?

It's great to know that you like Kamelot and that you go to see the shows of other bands in Festivals.

Stratovarius, Nightwish and Kamelot are my favorite bands. And I'm a little bit jealous of the people that will have the opportunity to see in the Sauna Open Air the three band play the same day and one after the other...

    The Best wishes,
    Kisses and Hugs

  21. LOL Kamelot is from Florida, USA, and when I found that out, I was so surprised. Usually all the good music comes from Europe.

  23. Hallo, Anette!

Kamelot are amazing! I had the chance to see them live in Mokena, IL (USA) last year. I traveled 8 hours to see them, and it was definitely worth it. My favorite album of of theirs is "The Black Halo." It's great to hear that you're a fan...it would be great if you collaborated with them in the future! That would make a wonderful duet :).

  24. Hey Anette! Definitely agree that Pain rock after seeing them before Nighwish in Paris on both nights (made it to the Monkey Business video :D) even though me and my friend spent half the night attempting to work out whether Johan was hot or not behind the hair (we decided a definite yes) Shame I can't make it all the way to Sweden! Also agree about the sound bombs, great to hear it's not just wimps like me who get freaked out by that! Keep up your amazing work xxx

  25. I bought "Cynic Paradise" (PAIN) recently just because of "Follow Me".
But I must say that the band is so good.

Greetings from a fan from Brazil.
    Take care.

  28. Hello Anette, so you're an In Flames fan? What is your favorite album by them? Are you into any other "Gothenburg" Metal bands? Have a good day. =]

  30. Väldigt bra musiksmak du har :) Synd att man själv bara är en fattig tonåring och inte har råd med festivalen för att man sparar sina pengar för att kunna ha en liten möjlighet att komma iväg till Hartwallarena den 19 spetember..

  32. For me sound bombs are Ok, but only in beginning or in the end of the show. When you use them like KISS all the time it comes little bit boring.

  33. Since last year on W.O.A. I hate sound bombs too. I was standing direct in front of the stage waiting for Nightwish gig and I don't know what the bands name was but they used sound bombs and unfortunately I had forgotten my earplugs. It was so loud.

I've seen Kamelot last year on Wacken Open Air and since this time I loved them. The music is so good. And live they are so wicked.
And I love PAIN too. See them three times live before Nightwish's gig.

Enjoy the festival, but take care :-)

  35. Yeah! You listen Kamelot too! I listen it just now :) I´am started listen them just about few days ago. I heared their gig last years Ankkarock, when we were waiting Sonata Arctica (so I didn´t saw Kamelot, only heared) and then I thought that it´s good music, but I didn´t to start listen it. Now before Sauna Open Air I decided to listen it newly and this is REALLY GOOD! :) Nice to see them in Sauna too, and NIGHTWISH and YOU of course! :)

  37. Hi again,

just looking at the running order and see that Volbeat is playing there too. They are very very good. The singer has such an extraordinary voice. This is my recommendation. I want to go there too but unfortunately I have to go to university :-(

Wish you the best and lots of fun at the festival.

  38. I'd love to go and see PAIN again, but I'm in the wrong country and I'd have no-one to go with :( I saw them with Indica and Nightwish at Brixton in March, it was great :D
