Hi and good morning to you all!
Well, I need to tell you a weird story and let me know what you think:
Yesterday I was out driving in my new very nice car and got pulled over by a police who wanted me to do an alco-test. The female police officer is very admired by my nice car and we talk a bit. Then she says: I just hope you won´t scratch the side of the car...it would be so bad to re-paint the side...
Ok, no worries there...I drive home and then this morning I woke up and both me and my son were in a very irritated mood and had a small quarrel when going to the car. I have the car parked in a closed big garage with many other cars and its so narrow in there. My car is really big so just to get it in and out is a hassle every day. I have one car on the right side parked very narrow, another big Lexus behind me, who think their car is the biggest and longest in the world since they park it a half meter out in the driving way....hmmm..ok, and then I have a big painted stone column on the left side.
I get into the car, start reversing and then very softly the car just scratches the column....f-ck!
So....was this police a wicked witch who put a spell on my left side of the car because of pure jealousy???? Or what???
Give me your thoughts;=) (and maybe some comfort...I am so down and sad about my lovely car...)

ReplyDeleteThe evil eye is a widespread belief that unlucky events can ensue if you attract the attention of particular people. I think the police officer is a wicked witch, she would like to have your car he he.

ReplyDeleteI know you feel sad but your car 'can' be fixed. The main thing is there was no accident and you and your son are safe which is the main thing. Just give your son a big hug and make up with him :)
I don't think you have a spell on you dear and most witches are good :)
Maybe you should have words with the other car owners before arguments start, now that would be a bad thing.

I'm sorry about the car, but there surely is a way to re-paint it. The police woman was more like a prophetess in my opinion :) She foresaw what would happen and didn't like the idea of this beautiful car being scratched, so she told you to be careful. ReplyDeleteMy mom has cancer she doesnt get to drive that often cause she is on powerful pain medicine. Anyways a few days ago she was able to drive. She just wanted out of the house so bad so we all joked with her and said ok Mom just dont crash the car. I promise you she wasnt on any medicine at the time so she was fully capable of driving. A little while late she comes back in the door and says THE CAR GOT HIT im going to bed now. hahaha Wasn't her fault some old man hit her. They were both fine but like what happend to you we might have put a little spell on her too. Im sorry about your car how frusterating that must have been. :(

ReplyDeleteMaybe that police officer was indeed a witch only I think she could have been a white witch with good intentions. Maybe she warned you and there's someone else with malicious thoughts? Oops, that sounds actually quite scary 8( I take it back! I thought it would be nice if you had have a little guidance and help, but then there really would be something and/or someone evil. Hrr.
Hope your car will be as good as new. Everyone has little accidents every now and then. It sucks but shit happens. Hope there will be something really nice to cheer you up and to balance the situation :)

ReplyDeletefor me it sounds like Murphy's law. It's a real pity because the car, but you have to tell yourself: "It's only a car, it's only a scratch and it's good that nobody was injured."
A friend of me happened the same and she had given the scratch a name (it was a very huge scratch and so she called it "Charles the Great").
And because of the police woman: Sometimes there happen strange things. Some people have a gut instinct and can prefigure things. This happend to me sometimes too and then it scares myself and certainly my friends too.

ReplyDeleteEven me, the greates driver on earth has managed to do so when parking. I was so happy to find a parking slot, only wondering about the strange noise from the road. When i got out of the car some people showed me the mess. Big scratch over the whole right side. But after spending some 100 EUR at my car garage the pain faded away. ;=)

Sometimes days are so awful you just wish you could go back to bed and sleep =( I don't believe in witched and such, but that's a strange coincidence indeed!
ReplyDeleteAnd for your car, I know it's sometimes difficult, God knows I was upset when I bought my car and a week after I saw someone had left a big mark on the side, but:
1) It doesn't mean you can't drive, you were just upset and maybe tired and not really awaken this morning
2) It's only a car, an object that can be replace, and hopefully you and your son were not injured, and that's the most important thing :)

I think it's pure jealousy, people sometimes tend to put a "fat eye" on our things acquired from hard work and then something bad happens with these... A similar situation occured with my mother when she got her first new car. After a few days, an man with his (old) car at night hit her car. At least she didn't get injured.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your car :/ but this isn't so bad, all you have to do is re-painted the scratch side and i don't think it take too long time for that :).
For my part i have a pretty big car too, and i don't count how many times i scratched it lol
and it's always difficult to me to handle it.
For the female police, i think she said that because she probably knows how hard it is to handle such a big car ( especially for women ), i don't think she is a witche either lol xD i think she just wanted to prevent you.
But that's okay i'm sure that i would probably did the same scratching as you in such circumstance ^^;

ReplyDeleteThe whole story with Your car and this "curse" sounds evil. But at the same time it could be just plain set of circumstances without any evil and jealous eyes..
Of course it sometimes can happen that the person sees your new thing, tells how beautiful it is and so on, and some evil forces make their deal and transform the praise into evil eye.. Perhaps that is why parents often try not no show their newborn babies to a lot of people..
Dunno how they do in Sweden, but here in Russia we have a... maybe not a tradition, but some belief, that when someone starts praising You or anything related to You, it's better to keep Your hand in the pocket and making a fig with your fingers. Just in order to prevent the evil eye =)))
But anyway, I hope You are not ripping out Your beautiful hair and not stamping Your feet ;) everything can be repaired, and Your new car is not an exception.

Weird story indeed but I don't think it's a curse, unless the police officer was not friendly when you talked a bit about your car. Maybe she is as bad as me with handling big cars and that's why she told you that about the scratch. If I had a big car and a garage the kind of you describe I wouldn't need any curse to scratch my car.

I doubt that you car was cursed, Anette. I really do. Fact is that there are modern day witches but they hold no more supernatural power than you or I. They simply know how use energies to bring more balance into their lives and of those around them. Ever hear the phrase "whatever goes around, comes around"? It's followed closely. If they send out positive energy, they will get positive back. If they go around cursing people, it will come back to them. So unless her car gets totaled, no she didn't put any curses on anything.
ReplyDeleteYou were simply in a bad mood, the thought of a scratch was probably floating around somewhere in your subconsciousness, and this was the result of that. The important thing is that you and your son are safe and sound and no one was hurt. Listen to some music, go for a walk, get your mind off of it. Most importantly, feel better! Right as I was putting down a bowl of food that I was eating so I could comment, I dropped my fork and it almost scratched my computer screen! Coincidence? I think not!
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel. My mom just recently bought a nice hybrid car after her other was totaled in a crash (no one was hurt :D) and she can't even stand the thought of messing it up, because it really is a beautiful car.
All I'm going to say is to not stress over the small things that happen to your car. Eventually there are damages that are going to be done to it that can't be avoided. And at least you didn't have an accident like my mom did. The whole engine was destroyed!
Just drive safe and you'll be alright. :D

I'm sorry Nettan, but I had to laugh a little because now I remembered that one year ago my mother had just bought her new Toyota Corolla 2008, 0km... She was going to get out with the car that was parked in front of the store she had just left(it was in a big avenue we have in São Paulo), she was so worried about the avenue and the great moviment of the other cars that she didn't even saw(or she says so) the lamppost behind the car. She crashed on it and got so mad.

Life is weird sometimes and I just felt that I have NEVER done anything with my car or driving and then she says this and bom, the day after I scratch it...it felt so weird.
But hey, no worries. The car will get re-painted in a month so till then I will name the damage something good;=) I will come up with a good name in my dreams tonight.
