Midsummer fest;=)

Good morning!

And sorry for the abscense yesterday, but I started off so early travelling with car 2 hours and then flying 1.5 hour and then by train for 1 hour, so I wasn´t home until 16.00 in the afternoon. Then I had to take a quick shower, go buy my mum some midsummer flowers and hurry to her home to celebrate midsummer with the family.

Mum had made new picked potatoes, herring, chive, sourcream, bread and cheese, which are the typical midsummer things to eat. For me, as the vegetarian, she had made a super good pie filled with angle pod and spinach. It was delicious!
To drink, the tradition is to have a "snaps" and to take them with a snapsvisa, which is a song to sing before saying: Skål!
Since I was the driver, I said Skål in sparkling water. It works equally good;=)

For dessert, we ate strawberries, which also are very typical midsummer food and to that whipped cream and coffee.

It was a great evening and when we came home we had some strawberries dipped in white chocolate and then it was time for watching some Two and a half men before sleeping.
