    I had a question about some lyrics =)

    In some Nightwish songs you change the lyrics a bit (like in Nemo and Dead Boys Poem), is that because maybe it sings better or that you think the feeling is better with those words instead of the "official" ones? Or just forgot the right ones? ;)
    I don't mean it like "You have to sing it right! >=( " I was just wondering, nothing mean or something =D
    I saw you in The Netherlands 2 times and you were just awesome!! =D I hope I can see you again with your wonderful voice! =D

    1. I watched a video at YouTube of you singing Heart Full Of Fire live with Brother Firetribe, then some people said that show was recorded for a DVD. When it's going to be launched?
    2. Do you think Tuomas will write a song longer than 'The Poet And The Pendulum' for the 7th album?
    3. What was the most charming gift you recieved from a fan?
    4. I like watching animation movies. If you like either, what's your favorite one?
    5. Now that you shot 4 videoclips (including 'Follow Me'), do you still think it's difficult to make them?

    Anette have you ever or do you plan to have a role in the creation of new Nightwish merchandise or maybe your own solo gear?

    I have noticed more "girlie" things coming into the Nightwish shop like the pretty little heart/amaranth pendant and the pretty cross bangle which I already own.

    With your love of fashion and jewellery I am sure you can think up some great stuff :=)

    Hi Anette :)
    I was wondering, if you have something that holds back your singing, how do you get around it? For example, I suffer from a pollen allergy which means that my nose is congested all through summer and can sometimes affect my singing. Any tips?
    Also, how do you come up with the variations on the melody when you sing live (eg, the last part of The Poet And The Pendulum or She Is My Sin) I think they sound really good :)

    My question might be hard, but I like you and your voice so much and want to show answer to all haters and people who can't stand some things about NW nowadays.
    Many bands, maybe all, got their own style of music, all around the band, clothes etc. Do u think your style fit to Nightwish music, fans.
    Like businessman has to wear suit, pop star has to be shiny, perfect, priest need to wear his "uniform" to work, thats what people expect from them. There are many negtive comments around not becouse people don't like some your clothes at all, they think these clothes are just not right for some ocasions. What do u think about all that kind of things?

    Ok Anette! Thanks for doing this, this is the coolest thing i think a member of a band has ever done! well...one of them...

    Anywho...my questions!

    - You are one of the biggest names in female fronted metal these days, and you said in an interview once that you admired Simone Simons and Sharon den Adel. Are you a fan of any other female fronted metal bands?

    - Do you know any languages other than English and Swedish (and I guess a little bit of Finnish too)? Are you planning on learning any?

    - Have you ever worn the same outfit at two different concerts? Or does every concert you play deserve something different?

    - What has been your favorite place in the US to play? Where, overall, do you think is the best place to play?

    Okay, so here we go:


    1. Have you gotten the help and support you needed by hiring that swedish assistant?

    2. What other Nightwish-songs would you like to sing besides those you have already performed? (Would be perfect if you answered for example Bless the Child, Live to Tell the Tale, Astral Romance, Angels Fall First, Two for Tragedy, The Riddler, Forever Yours, Ocean Soul or Feel For You ;) I think those songs would be perfect for you and your emotional voice.)

    3. How come you don't play Cadence of Her Last Breath anymore? It is really really good song and I hope you'll take it back to setlist some day. I think your interpretation of She is my Sin, Sacrament of Wilderness and Come Cover Me are really awesome and just perfect too! I really hope you'll play those songs too in the future.

    4. Do you have anymore those days when you would be really nervous in the stage and would have to look somewhere over the crowd?

    5. Have your day gotten any better since that terrible morning? Hope you are feeling better already.

    6. How come you have such an expensive taste in clothes and shoes and bags? ;)

    7. Have your taste in music changed a lot after you joined Nightwish?

    8. You have told that you are really sensitive and emotional person. Would some of the Nightwish-songs be too hard to sing because of the emotions those stories hold?


    I'm sorry if it burdens you that I wrote so many questions. I just hope there's at least one question you would find interesting enough and would like to give us an answer. No worries if you don't though. :)

    First off, thank you for inspiring my official decision to take a career in theater/music.


    One question I have is what type of movies or
    T.V. shows do you watch when you have time?
    I read on the Nightwish website
    you like Friends and
    Desperate Housewives(which is getting really
    good bye the way)but
    with a schedule of touring and concerts,
    how do you find time,
    or do you just now bother with it?

    Also, if you call your hair a ratty blonde
    colour, why put it that colour?
    Not that it doesn't look good,

    So, on September 19th you're gonna play your final show of the DPP tour with Nightwish. Have you already made plans on what to do afterwards? Like, are you going to take a x-months-break, or will you start working on a new record right away? :)

    Hi, Anette!

    One question:

    A lot of Nightwish fans think that Beauty of the Beast is the best lyric ever written by Tuomas. Sadly, this epic piece has never been recorded in the DVDs. Would u like to sing it? We all sure hope this one comes up in the set-list of the upcoming DVD with the orchestra =D
    I, personally, would love to see u guys playing Gethsemane again ^^ We don't even have a decent record of this one in youtube =/

    1. i'm not sure if you get to decide this but, do you plan to use/try something other than clean vocals for the next album?

    e.g operatic (since you mentioned that you're a soprano), harsh vocals (something like the last line of Whoever Brings The Night), death growl (would be very intresting :P), or something like the beginning part of Ghost Love Score (i dont know what you call that)etc.

    2. will you guys ever perform the song Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean and Planet Hell live? you nailed GLS and romanticide :P

    3. is there any symphonic/gothic metal song that you would really love to cover?

    4. any symphonic/gothic metal bands that you would love to collaborate with? (dont be diplomatic! :P)

    1. Recently you had the concert in Poland in Cracow. Do you intend to come Poland then again?
    2. Whether that's true, than you were accepted to Nightwish thanks with persuasion Ewo?
    Some people say than you wanted to be in Nightwish only for the celebrity, but I this way don't think, since what passion I can see with you are coming is milking the music :)

    I think you have already received a question similar to this one before, but here we go:

    The Rasmus and Nightwish are my favorite bands. And I am really, really (really!!) happy that you will sing with Lauri Ylönen. Have you already heard any The Rasmus' song? And what do you think of them? Is there any chance of you joining in a The Rasmus' tour (especially including Brazil) to sing the duet?

    And a different one that I asked in comment before:

    I love astronomy! One of my favorite subjects. I want to get a degree in it one day, but I don't like physics and math hahaha.

    What do you think about astronomy? Especially the importance of this science as a school subject.

    Oooh kay here's a good one ... first of all do you know the term 'blonde moment' ?? ;) You probably do... if not it means just some time when you do something really kinda stupidly funny , for example tripping over a blade of grass or putting salt on your cereal instead of sugar :S haha ...     Hello Anette is so nice of you to take time to answer this questions, so hope you get to answer mine

    - since you like tattoos, would you do some more or are you done for now? (I also have tattoos and I'm thinking about the other ones I want) Has any of the boys made a comment about them?

    - Do you like sports? if yes, what's your favorite?

    _ You mentioned that your web page was done by the same guy who did the web page for the band Europe, Have you heard this band? (they were one of my favorites back in the 80's :o)...... Joey Tempest voice is really good)

    Before saying good bye, I would like to recommend some really good vampire books: The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, she is the best (she wrote Interview With A Vampire) Dan Brown is another really good writer and to finish try some books from Isabel Allende (she is a writer from Chile and is amazing...... oh! and before I really leave this time, would you consider taking a vacation on the Caribbean? If you do, I'll recommend Puerto Rico and I can give you a tour free of charge :o)...... BTW, Sweden has produced some really good bands or groups that I have loved (and still do) like Europe, Ace Of Base and the best of them all ABBA (huge fan here!)

    Yay, questions! :)

    As a fan from the US tour I have to ask:

    1) What was your favorite part of the tour?
    2) I saw you at the Allentown, PA show...was it difficult performing on such a small stage?

    3) Is there an old Nightwish song you haven't sung yet that you'd love to?
    4) Is there any female vocalists from some of the other metal bands that you'd like to do a duet with? (Personally, I think you and Sharon from Within Temptation would sound really nice together ;))

    Hi Anette! I have a few questions if you aren't busy ^_^

    1) Would you guys do a concert in New Zealand?

    2) Would you do a duet with Sharon Den Adel from Within Temptation one day? I noticed you liked their new song and just wondered =D

    3) Since some of Nightwish's songs are dream-based, I wondered if you guys thought about doing a 'lucid dream' sort of song? Whereby you are in a dream, but can't escape it until you've overcome your fears :) It happened to me once, it was really scary o_O Anyways thought it would be a great new song, could be called "The Nightmare" or "Lucidity" or something :P
