Ok, the song of tonight is a song from a great swedish musical, Kristina från Duvemåla, made by the two ABBA-boys, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. This musical is about all the swedish people that left Sweden for America. I love this whole musical and the lead singer Helen Sjöholm is so amazing. Found a good video where there also is an english translation so you can understand what she sings;=)Listen to the ending, its big and such power in the voice;=)
Enjoy!

You're the best.

ABBA guys couldn't do bad music )) I must say I'm really impressed...the song itself is so strong and has provoked a lot of reflection about the Belief and religious powers in one's life and the strengh it may give to a certain person...
ReplyDeleteThe passion she sings with, the emotion she shares..what an immersion in her role..
What's interesting, the English translation goes well with the music and You can sing it yourself in english)))
Thank You a lot, Anette, for sharing such beautiful pieces of Swedish music with us! Is this musical still running somewhere in Sweden? I would like to see it with my own eyes and listen with my own ears if I have a chance to ^_^
Hugs

Wow, great song! It makes me crawling.
ReplyDeleteToday I have a musical day - first song from Carmen by Agnes Baltsa, than Cyndia Sieden in Mozart's Aria, and now this.
I can listen to it all the time.
Thank U for showing this to us!
Have a nice gig, I can't wait for the photos, as always :)
Helt fantastiskt! Helen sjöholm är otroligt duktig. Gabriellas sång är dock en av mina favoriter med henne. Och Koppången. :)- Py Bäckman skriver bra musik.

Great song!
ReplyDeleteI love swedish language, unfortunately my swedish skills aren't so good anymore but I love to sing in swedish because it's much softer language than finnish :)
Wow, very nice song! Benny and Bjorn are really excellent! Maybe they could turn this musical into a movie, as they did with 'Mamma Mia!' =D
ReplyDeleteHugs from Brazil!
^^
Nice song! I didn't really expect that it would be something for me, but I like it, I really do. :) And I like Swedish language even more now, hehe.

ReplyDeleteThat was really good- then again
ReplyDeleteI'm probably the only 16 year old american girl who still listens to ABBA,
and the 80's music, like INXS...shame,
they're good performers.
Anyway, have a good show,
break a leg(I believe theater terms can be
used in any case of a performance),
but not literally. I'd be realy sorry! :(
Hello Anette!
ReplyDeleteGood to see that you had a great day and relax!
Thank you for the songs! Added to my birthday playlist today :D
Have a beautiful night!

Unbelievable. Almost in tears..
ReplyDeleteI sense the trace of God in this song,
and i feel so grateful because you shared it with your fans.
Was this song you performed as a soloist in that musical from Sweden?
If yes, i really long to listen, even to a sample!
Both the melody/orchestrations and the lyrics are very deep, I would say for sensitive souls. That stuff has the power to touch one's heart, and to reach everyone's abyss inside.
So I do believe in God as a Father, do you?
;=)
Ahh..and the singer can express all the things i mentioned.
Anette, thank you,
all my love and support,
sincerely,
Poochie
..Otherwise,,,,,i would not be here ;=)
ReplyDeleteThank you for show us the song =) It's so beautiful =)
ReplyDeleteI♥u<3
Den här låten är vacker. Och svenska är också ett vacker språk. (Sorry my bad swedish, I'm only [human] Finnish :))
ReplyDelete"Nej du måste finnas, du måste. Jag lever mitt liv genom dig. "....
ReplyDeleteWhat a song. If been singing it the past 2 hours, over and over again. Normally I don't use my chest voice so much, so this is a great opportunity to both practise and hear some Swedish:-)
I could even figure out some words, seems to be similar to German somehow..:-)
Good song, I liked! =)I would like to hear you singing Abba, Anette! Because your voice are perfect to sing Abba and I really love Abba! I would like to hear you singing "I have a dream" =)
ReplyDeleteSo... would be nice!
I love you, Anette!
And I love your clothes, style, hair, voice! You are a big inspiration to me!
Hey! This song it's very beautiful! Very touching!
ReplyDeleteKisses from Brazil!
Hey that's good :) I didn't watch the vid but just listened to the music , which was very beautiful. I read that you once played the leading role in a musical ... did you enjoy that? Are you planning on ever being in any other ones ... or would being in Nightwish prevent you from doing something like that for a long time? I'd love to see a live theater performance with you singing ... I know it would send shivers right down my spine :)
ReplyDeleteLove you always,
- Suzy C. ♥
